This was a great session on becoming aware of something we are grateful for and setting an intention for the day to find more things to be even more grateful for. I did this meditation at the suggestion of one of our Aura tribe. I was having a hard time coming up with something about myself, other than the obvious. As I sit here, I’m thinking “I have to go here, go there, do this and that”. And that’s where my gratefulness lies today! I can get up and do things. I can sit on the floor and then stand up without assistance. I can reach up, carry things, push things. I can ride a Harley. Not bad, for an old lady! Thank you and love to all. 🙏❤️

Too much breathing.
There was too much emphasis on the breath in this practice for me. I like gratitude meditations so I would have preferred to concentrate more on things I am grateful for. I and not a fan of breathing meditations anyway.

She had me smiling as I became More grateful for so many things (even though she said 1 thing). How could I try to limit it to one? We have so much to be grateful for that is not materialistic (trees, puppies, sunrises & sunsets, eyes to see them with) it’s just too bad when we get focused on what we “don’t” have or make happiness conditional (if only I had this or that I would be happy). My husband and I have been married 5 years in December. He’s always the first thing to come to mind when I think about what I’m grateful for. Thinking of him during this session immediately brought a smile to my lips and warmth throughout my entire body!!! If feels good to wake up earlier than usual and feel rested, to enjoy looking out my bedroom window at the trees across the street and to see the light fog that has not yet burned off. I learned that this helped me become more relaxed and calmed my body, soul and mind. I feel very refreshed and ready to take in the day in a positive healthy way. A good start to your morning sets the tone for the rest of the day, I don’t care what anyone says! This mediation was very beneficial and helped me. It’s important to remember to not only do this in the morning but throughout the day! Gratitude is so important to me and I practice it everyday but I can always improve and could use some encouragement, sees how I am only human with flaws and weaknesses. We all fall short sometimes so this was definitely what I needed to kick start my Saturday morning! I am forever grateful or this mindful moment and mediation 🥰🧘🏼‍♀️

I have so much to be grateful for. I just learned that my 101 year old father, who fell and broke his pelvis in three places, is finally being discharged from the hospital. He is to be taken by ambulance today to a fine rehab facility for the next few weeks. My heart is so filled with gratitude I can barely breathe.🙏🏻♥️🙏🏻♥️🙏🏻

Grateful for my body?
Not so much. I AM grateful for several things this morning! I'm grateful to hear that Aura friend Kathy’s father is doing SO MUCH better today as he transitions into longer-term care. Grateful that my mother is paying for me to have massage therapy with my old friend, client and network marketing cohort Virginia to help alleviate some of the discomfort I live with daily after my stroke. Grateful that my two teenage children are working to get our kitchen cleaned up this morning without being asked for a millionth time!

With all the negatives I can so easily focus on with my anxiety, it’s nice to be able to stop and focus on the things that I am grateful for. Regardless of how worried I may be feeling there is ALWAYS something to be grateful for. For example, I recently have been very anxious about my daughter’s separation anxiety. However, not only am I grateful for my daughter, but I’m grateful for the fact that I care enough to worry about her. Perhaps with a little effort, I can turn some of these negatives into positives. A great way for me to start and continue my day.

Morning priming for gratitude
I learned that how we start our mornings sets the tone for the rest of the day. This meditation practice really helped me. I’m grateful to have the day off work this morning and to be able to spend this day with my kiddos and able to use PTO at work, so I’ll still be able to be paid. Be able to sleep in this morning and have some quality time with my kiddos means the world to me. One thing I was grateful for with my body was being able to stay focused and my growth in mindfulness, everyday I grow more and I stay more focused and centered. I really enjoyed this mediation and I can’t wait to go on with my day and see how my awareness is different and just take it all in. I will be continuing to do this practice to start my mornings. This exercise fits nicely with my morning prayers when I wake up. I am grateful each day to wake up, to be alive, to have a functioning mind and body. Grateful for my Nanna
Today is my Nanna’s funeral and so I desperately needed Auras help this morning as I prepare. This was perfect to shift my focus from being sad at what I have lost, to being grateful for all the years and memories that I had with my nanna. Then when choosing something to be grateful for to do with my body, I simply gave my body gratitude for being alive. With chronic health problems I can often be critical of my body, so this was different and felt good just to be grateful at the most basic level to be alive. So I am hoping that I can take this gratitude with me today, and though it will be an emotional day, I will be surrounded by loved ones which is another reason to be grateful in of itself.

I found it interesting that you can “prime” yourself for gratitude, but the concept does make sense. If you adjust yourself to something first thing in the morning, then you’ll be more open to it for the rest of the day. I’m curious to know if there are any meditations/life coachings on aura that follow the same concept but prime for courage to get up and make the most of your day? If anyone had any recommendations please let me know. Thanks ❤️

There’s so many days when I get busy with my day before I do my meditation. But today I specifically decided to do my meditation before I got involved in anything. I felt good and happy that I fell asleep last night. This morning when I woke up, I was also happy.
I learned that I was able to sleep well and be guided while I was asleep. When I awoke and recharged my batteries with gratitude, my body feels happy and grateful to be awake. My person became my mum that she always got looks after and over me from a distance in my dream last night. I was also grateful for my hear, soul and mind. Because of the things I have dealt with that I needed to look after these three things.

I feel refreshed! Gratitude is something we all take for granted. We don’t sit in it and hold it and appreciate it as much as we should as we are too focused on the next big thing, the next goal, the next improvement. But today, now, right here is a beautiful thing. I have my family. I have my health. I am blessed. Thank you today, you did not have to be here. But you are, and for that, I will be here as well.

Day one
Feels really good to be starting a new journey with morning mindfulness. My days are so full that I’m craving a more inward focused morning as opposed to checking email and social media. Those things can wait till later. After my first session I feel relaxed and reset. I also noticed how hard it was to stay focused.
