Enjoy an Attention Restoration Meditation at least every 90 minutes at work. Give your mind a self-compassion break so that you can resume work with renewed focus. Put aside the time needed to be full with this meditation and use earphones so that you can block out noise in your environment. After enjoying the meditation, give yourself a few moments to sit and simply “be.” Nature sounds courtesy of listeningearth.com. A first
This was my first non-guided meditation. I was apprehensive but found it empowering to sit with my breathing and acknowledge thoughts and sensations without judgement or being swayed by them. Very grounding.

Energy
I would not call this relaxing to listen to more energetic. I listened with headphones this time and it was much much better. I love the sounds of nature.

Thornbills
I enjoy listening to the sounds of nature and find them soothing. I was picking out all the different sounds I heard. Cat purring. Other birds. Something baffled me though. What is making the sound like a small child sounding out vowels. Ah, ah, ah, ah, oohhhhhhh. Not sure if a bird or mammal.

Create a sense of being present.
In closing my eyes and relaxing to bird’s melodies, I can picture heir habitat with me in the midst, sun on my face. Very relaxing.

Focus
I will definitely use this at work to center myself and get back on track. Nature works wonders. Thank you for that. :)

Quite nice, but...
Being that it is winter here and the temperature is near zero degrees (F) it was very nice to hear some wildlife. However, this was not soothing to me, as the only place I can imagine hearing that many birds in one place is a zoo. Plus, there was a very strange-sounding, what I imagine was a bird, that sounded like a baby crying or a goat bleating, which really freaked me out!

This was surprisingly nice. I just focused on my breathing; breathing in positivity and exhaling negativity. I also tried to relax my body. Simple, yet effective.

Birdsong in morning
It felt like spring again! The birds singing made me happy.

Calming
I learned that if you focus on your breathing and just close your eyes you endure the full experience so much better!

Helpful for winter...
Nice meditation for those who are limited by climate conditions to connect with nature as you recreate using your 5 senses a place of tranquility.
