I've learned to function at about 85% of my max everyday while making it look like 110%. Blindly stumbling through each day always heavy and tired has become my way of life but it's not living. It's just surviving. Survival is important but it's a low bar. I want to rejoin the living. To do that I must remind myself to make time for me. To not just sleep but rest because time spent on me is never a waste.

You can feel your body weigh down as you breathe. It is a very useful tool to ease down and relax after a long, and stressful day at work.

I learned that the idea of achievement is a great concern for me. By traditional standards, I am not necessarily an over achiever, but I realized that I am worried by the idea of not achieving enough. This. Triggered me specifically during this mediation, and unexpectedly. Something that I will have to learn to let go of.

What you are resting on
I struggled to connect with this meditation. My mind kept wandering back to finances. And I realized my posture sucks. Grrrrrrrr. I kept bringing my focus back, which was good. Frustrating that my posture keeps slipping back into a slumped, heart protecting posture. *Sigh* I liked coming back to what I was resting on, that did help me to keep coming back to the meditation and to remember that every time I meditate it helps me connect to myself.
