Sometimes I can focus on my breathing better than others. There are times where my mind is full of thoughts and it's difficult to let them go. Today was ok, little by little, no expectations for today. Thanks.
Moments of Stillness
I think too much to find stillness. Therefore, I can’t meditate. This is just one of the many misunderstandings about meditation. A tool to train the subconscious mind to be in the present moment, meditation gives us the wonderful opportunity to live our lives fully. From doing mode to being mode, we let go of any expectations of how things should be, what we should feel and just let it unfold how it may. It is this letting go where these beautiful mini moments of stillness awaits us. Sitting, I brought awareness to my breath and then turned inward. Connecting to the body’s subtle movements made while inhaling and exhaling, I let go of any thoughts. Watching this body breathe itself, I let go of any expectations. My senses were free to experience these moments of stillness without the need to attach any story to them. Simply being, simply noticing, I didn’t find stillness. Stillness found me.
