One way of working with thoughts is to think of them like traffic moving past us - we don't have to direct the traffic, we can just watch it - and it's the same with our thoughts. We don't have to let them bother us, we can just watch them pass.

Empty Road
When I began this meditation my mind was chaos and traffic. Now, I'm standing at the side of a calm and serene road.
I learned that every thought that I have I don’t have to let it set in me. I can be mindful of those thoughts and let it pass through like traffic passing through. I was able to see my thoughts for what they were and maneuver through the rest of my thoughts without it affecting me. This will definitely be one of my go to meditations consistently.
