You’ve probably noticed that when you are trying to meditate that there are lots of thoughts popping into your head taking you away from paying attention to your breath. This practice is an opportunity to bring more awareness to this and see if you can begin to let the thoughts go using the breath as an anchor. Please note: If you are struggling with your mental health it's really important to seek professional help. These meditations are not a substitute for that but can be used alongside therapy to help to support you. For more on Carla-Jo and her work please see www.carlajo-mindfulness.com

Lovely, Centering Meditation
Nice to know it's normal for your mind to wander during a meditation. Love the gentle easy method of just coming back to the breath.

Present Moment
Everything that's has ever happened to you right down to the smallest detail has brought you to now, the present moment. Tougher for some than others, all relative to us individually. Like a blank canvass, draw your life moving forward, do what you want, be who you want to be, go where you want to go. Travel along the lines you want to draw.

Letting thoughts go is a practice
I learned that letting thoughts go is a continued part of mindfulness practices. It's especially helpful for me to remember this when I'm feeling anxious and am using deep breathing techniques.

Awareness
That was very calming. My body stood in the breeze of the air and relaxed in emotion. Take a moment to do the awareness meditation to feel your body relax in minutes!

Alive with intention
I often go into a state of unthought full motions mostly at work. I go to office with a great outlook. I get to meet new people and get to listen to some extraordinary life stories. That's a good thing when there are people to meet. When it gets slow I lose my moxy fast. I start to waste valuable time with worry, things I can't work on at that moment. These are the times that I am great full for these little meditations. They bring me back to a wakeful state of being. I soon realize that every minute is valuable. I can still live with intention and enjoy just being alive. It's all good just have to notice it. 🤙

A nice little relaxation starter to kick off my day!
Starting the day relaxed, even more so than sleep alone would afford, can feel pretty good!

Pace of breath can determine how I relax
Today's meditation made men more Aware of my ability to relax depended on my breath. It felt like I have a bit more control over my relaxation response. This felt Powerful!!

I learned that although this meditation is beautiful and has great meaning to me, when I am angry it just distracts me more. I did save it and will listen to it again though.

Recognition
I learned in this meditation that as long as I can recognize when I’m getting distracted I can bring myself back to the present and be in control. Being mindful to the thoughts and then letting them go instead of pondering on the problem, or whatever the distraction may be.

Just thinking...
Morning came and went so fast. The weather is definitely changing. I really didn't have time to think much. Hopefully tomorrow will be a more relaxed for easy day. Thinking about today for it being such a hectic day it did go very stupidly. I must say it was one of the most peaceful days I have had in a while. This sky even looked peaceful. I must say today was definitely Peace on Earth 🌏.

Sloooow down
I learned that even just three minutes of meditation helps me calm my mind down. Helps me notice my thoughts and bring them to a speed where I can be aware of them instead of them just whizzing past and leaving chaos in their wake. I am less irritable or stressed now. Thank you

Thoughts
I do get carried away with my thoughts when I’m trying to focus on something, but focusing my mind on deep breathing can help pull myself out of the wacky things that come into my mind🤪

Mindful
It helps to just be mindful of a thought. You don’t need to stop thinking which a lot of people try to do. You just need to be aware of a thought. Notice it and then let it pass.

Our minds are truly amazing. They do so much for us without our direction. I hope my mind appreciates the breaks I give it from thinking. I know I feel better.

Thoughts come and go

Noticing Thoughts
This is the first step to empowerment. We need to be aware of our thoughts and the effect that they have on us before we can choose again. What thoughts serve us and what thoughts would we be better off without?

Mindfulness of Thoughts
I appreciated the reminder that my goal is not to eliminate thoughts as I meditate, but to acknowledge them and then return my awareness to my breathing. Usually I scold myself for straying from my breath...thanks for reminding me just to refocus.🙏🏻

Notice your thoughts
The more mindfulness exercises I do the more I realize it’s all about breathing and being aware of your thoughts and when you get distracted which most of us do just be aware of your thoughts and keep breathing.

Thoughts are just thoughts
Just because I have a bad thought doesn’t mean it’s real. I used to think that if I had a bad thought and continuously kept it in mind it would actually happen; but thoughts are just thoughts.

I learned that I should not try to suppress thoughts when I am meditating, but rather to be aware of the thoughts and then to let them pass. For me, those thoughts tend to invade my mind when I am not as intentional as I should be about my breathing.

Exploring thoughts
A big misconception about meditation is that you have to stop your thoughts or try not to have any thoughts. This is impossible! Minds wonder! In mindfulness meditation we cultivate awareness of our thoughts, we let them be and then let them go and return to our point of focus like the breath for example. In this meditation we practice this ☺️

Mindfulness
For several years I have jokingly called Donald, my ginger cat, my personal yogi because he comes to me with total love in his gaze. This morning he seemed to like the tones of this meditation, and came to me to join in. My thoughts did leave my breath, but somehow the gratitude and affection that I experienced were probably as valuable 💕💚💜

Mindfulness
So nice to end my day with this relaxing meditation. I could feel my body completely relaxed. Thoughts faded away. That must come from practice. I remember a time when my thoughts were intrusive. Calm voice. Very light and kind. That really allowed me to close my eyes and feel it all sink deeply into me. Thank you.
