Meditation focus on the feet
Dear all, I wanted to share this meditation with you. Sometimes my class participants who are beginning their mindfulness journey find it difficult to focus on the breath initially.
This can be for a variety of reasons such as people fearing getting too close to their body. Some people find if they pay attention to their breath to begin with they overthink about the breath and then feel like they are experiencing shortness of breath. So for these people I recommend a different area of focus for the mind such as the feet (if they are pain free) Bringing your awareness down to your feet can also be very grounding.
