The Practice: In this experiential mindfulness meditation, you develop your ability to hold presence; to the simple noticing of life unfolding, moment by moment. The Simplicity: Perfect for when you recognize a need to hold presence in 'now'; and to witness the beauty of life all around you. When you close your eyes, the important thing is to take everything in with your senses. I hope that you find this meditation to be simple and easy to replicate at any time on your own. ๐Ÿ’œ

Holding Presence
Whether we realize it or not, our breath is our constant companion. In this wonderful and simplistic meditation, we connect with this life force energy and notice the few moments of stillness. Holding presence during those moments of stillness, we sense how life unfolds, moment to moment. Sitting in an upright position, I closed my eyes. Dorothy asks me to focus on the first thing I noticed when I closed my eyes. Immediately, my awareness went to my breath. As the chilly air entered my body through my nostrils, I noticed my body eagerly anticipating for this new breath. Receiving this breath, my body was satisfied. On my exhale, I noticed how my body released and relaxed while the slightly warmer air exited my nostrils. Becoming memorized by these waves of breath, I began to pay close attention to the pauses at the top and bottom of each wave of breath. In these moments of stillness, time seemed to stop. Holding presence during these moments of stillness, I feel my inner peace spread throughout my body. Thank you, Dorothy for this beautiful calming experience! Namaste ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿปโค๏ธโ˜ฎ๏ธ

Nice
This is a nice meditation. All the narrator asks is that we be aware of our breathing, though she never extends this awareness into the space around us. Although I enjoyed this meditation, I felt no change afterward.

This meditation session felt amazing. My focus, productivity, and mental clarity feel tremendous. This session was quiet which was perfect for us listeners to listen to our mental chatter and focus on our breathing. Thank you!

Boarding a plane
I focused on equanimity, the realization that life will go on all around me but I can be comfortable controlled aware and adverse to it all at the same moment. Irritation begin to fade and realization is just awareness
