Emotional Regulation
In life there are going to be situations, people, or a variety of things that can trigger us emotionally. Oftentimes, this results in us reacting rather than responding to a stressful moment. In this life coaching session, Neha explains 12 different things you can try to help regulate your emotions when you are triggered or dealing with stress. The top ones that have worked for me are: Mindful breathing, Labeling my emotions, Journaling, Mindful movement, Setting Healthy Boundaries, and using different grounding techniques to bring me back to the present moment. The key is being aware of when you are feeling triggered or stressed and practicing what works for you to be able to move out of flight or fight mode.
