The intention of this MELT meditation is to allow the body to access a deeply relaxed state. You can use this meditation to help fall asleep at night (as there is no call back to wakefulness at the end of the meditation) or use it for a Non-Sleep Deep Rest (NDSR) practice, to restore alertness during the day (just make sure to you set yourself a 20-minute timer so you wake up at the end). By focusing on bodily sensations and allowing them to 'melt', we invite the body and nervous system to settle into a deeply relaxed and restorative state.
