This practice is great for cultivating the wish for yourself to be happy - sounds obvious, but very often we are hard on ourselves and much kinder to others. By bringing that kind intention home to our own hearts, we can find peace there and learn to quiet critical voices.

"Be gentle with yourself, you’re doing the best you can." - Anonymous. @AuraHealthHQ #life #mindfulness And I have to remember this and follow my Mussar, which is essentially accepting all of myself because the stress of rejection is just not justified.

May I Be Happy
May I Be happy. May I be well. I choose to be happy. I choose not to let other people determine my happiness. This is what I took from this meditation. A reminder I truly needed after feeling like the walls around me are caving in and with the possibility of losing everything to fight for what is just and right. Regardless of what’s going on around me, I can choose to be happy. It’s in my power and one I’m going to try and exert.

I learned that simply saying those words aligned with my breath made me calm and clears my mind. It’s 6 AM, jet lag set and up since 330. Letting go of the hands at the end, I could feel myself sink in to the bed.

When days are tough it’s tough to say the words
Trying days make this practice tough. How to the. off the brain to listen versus hear and process the words. I felt silly thinking how could words matter, yet I know that I have to set the intention and I deserve to be well and happy today.
