I've learned in the course of my life that love is synonymous with currency in the sense that it shouldn't all be spent in one place. Spend it around. It's the only precious commodity that the more of it you give away, the more valuable it becomes. When I️ first did a meditation like this one maybe a year ago I️ had a really hard time extending the feelings of loving kindness to myself. As a result I️ couldn’t extend them to others very easily either. This time around was much easier. It feels good to know that that aspect of my life is improving.

This meditation changed my perspective equality. We can start equalizing on an individual basis and this is the only place we are ever going to see change. Me wanting my neighbor to have peace, be safe and protected and sharing my love where ever I go is the only way I can contribute change to the world on this topic. There was a commercial where a chain of good deeds was being acted out - each of us could begin and continue a good deed chain each day. Share the love ✌🏻

A good mediation for starting the day
I learned that I can do this easily while walking a familiar trail in my fenced yard while my dog ran and did his morning duties. It is a good practice especially in these troubled times.

Morning reflection
It’s nice to ease into my Saturday, wishing myself and my loved ones well. When I’m not feeling great, physically and emotionally, I tend to focus on myself too much. From recent experiences, I’m learning that healing comes not only from within myself, but from meaningful interactions with others. Sometimes, shifting my focus on others’ needs, can be fruitful for them and for me simultaneously. In this way, I’m learning to heal and be healed.

You can’t give what you don’t have
The amount of warmth or love you give to yourself is the same amount of warmth or love you give to others. This is indeed a valuable lesson that is often forgotten. I think it’s important for each of us to realize that self preservation is not selfishness but is actually an act of kindness —kindness to ourselves. Because when we are at ease and calm with ourselves, we become kind and emphatic toward others as well. Now I’m thinking of an Ed Sheeran song that my father loves to listen to.

It is very difficult to give myself love and wishes. I don’t feel worthy of love shown me from whom ever it is. I still fell stupid, socially awkward, like I’m not good enough for anyone to be with me. I am willing accept less than I’m worth. I can give others love, but I’m not really until I can love myself. How do I live myself. How do I stop being hard on me but soft and gentle with others. I do not truly feel worthy of love while being stupid, not smart, hesitant, not good enough for others to love.

Thank you, I liked the 3 levels of loving kindness. Self- Someone else - the world. I found it to be fulfilling and yet as I wished each level wellness, I began to play vignettes in my head of interactions with those thought of during the practice. Reflecting back- perhaps there are more people in my life that I need to include to allow full mindful forgiveness.
