We bring loving-kindness to another first so that we can feel comfortable and create a space to then wish ourselves well. This can be hard as we tend to be more critical towards ourselves rather than be kind. Kindness is key if we want to be more self-aware and allow ourselves to open up to the sensations of loving-kindness. it can be very healing for some or just relaxing when we realize we can talk to ourselves in a kind way.
