Compassion is a strong concern for yourself and others when suffering. We all experience suffering, even if it is merely our everyday experiences of sadness, stress, or worry. By shining more compassion on yourself on the inside, you become a beacon of compassionate light on the outside as well. Photo by Gabriel Siqueira from Pexels www.christina-mcmahon.com

Tapping into emotions
Sometimes it's easy to numb out of what we're truly feeling- especially with sadness, fear, and difficult emotions. But the thought of tapping in and letting myself feel the wave of sadness and bringing in the light of compassion to brighten my heart space resonated with me so much. Very moving, thank you ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป

Compassion
We have the capacity of changing our feelings, so whenever I feel sad, I just pray and think of positive things or people that makes me feel happy. Thats the power of mind.

Letting go
Wow this really hit home for me. I get anxiety attacks in my chest when I think of stress or certain situations in my life. I also am working on being my own best friend and becoming my own best person so this was a wonderful meditation!

See the emotion...
...and breathe into it. Very empowering and reassuring bit of self-care.

Thinking about self compassion made me cry because I really donโ€™t have much.
I will think more about it and try to make some. My whole life Iโ€™ve felt my โ€œjobโ€ has been compassion for others and Iโ€™ve put my own needs last.

Compassion
Self compassion for me is difficult. I have more for others than me.

Self love
I learned that one thing about this subject is that itโ€™s okay to be true to yourself and accept all the flaws and quirks that you have. I still have a little bit of trouble giving myself compassion but Iโ€™m sure that itโ€™s a matter of time to heal from my trauma and live in the moment.

Being for me
I learned that itโ€™s not about who are by your side but itโ€™s all about to be yourself who is there always, to fill your heart with light of compassion rather than sadness or nostalgia. All the people that surrounds you are moments, is you who stays, always stays.

In my first meditation I may have been distracted, but challenging myself to stick to it will help me in the long run
