When something challenging comes up for us emotionally, our first reaction may be to resist it – to distract ourselves, to stuff the emotion down, or simply to wish we weren't feeling it at all. What if instead of pushing a difficult emotion away, you leaned into it? When you can let that emotion get as big as it wants to get inside of you and direct all of your compassionate breath towards it, oftentimes that emotion will release on its own. This allows you to continue with your day with a renewed sense of inner calm and peace. Photo by Marcos Paulo Prado on Unsplash www.christina-mcmahon.com

I needed this to let go of my sadness, now I know that it will be okay. I just need to feel my feelings and not neglect them

We are all connected through our oractice
I felt accompanied in the stillness of my practice by all the others who are also meditating today. It gave me a sense of warm reassurance.

Accepting and honoring my feelings
I am safe in feeling anxious and the stress of uncertainties to come. I give these feelings love; I honor them and accept them with a smile. I move forward calmly.

It's ok
It's ok to not feel ok. It's ok to feel sad. Accept the feeling.

Anxiety is always with me
I have difficulty accepting my anxiety. It's with me all the time and never leaves me alone. I can't stand it. I want to know what it feels like to be free from it. Leaning into it isn't bringing me peace but the exact opposite.

Leaning in
I learned that I can manage my emotions better when I let go and breathe into them. Although I still have some anxiety, it's lessened.

Lean in. Heart awakening
This is by far the best meditation I have done so far. I learned to lean into my anxiety and therefore begin to understand it and then begin to heal. Feeling wonderful. Thank you 😊

Doubt
I learned that all emotions are real and are part of me including happiness, doubt, sadness and excitement. They can be be given attention but are a part of me not the whole.
