This "Lake Meditation" has been adapted to be helpful at times when sleep is difficult, and is also likely to be beneficial in moments of stress or anxiety. Unlike most Mindfulness Meditations it uses guided imagery; we imagine a scene that in some way expresses the nature of mindfulness, and then nurture these qualities within ourselves. By letting go of any involvement in the past or future, and of any striving to get somewhere, we can allow this meditation to be deeply calming and relaxing. Note: This recording may not be suitable for people who are uncomfortable in and around water.
