In this kindness to self meditation we gently cultivate a sense of warmth and kindness to ourselves using phrases like 'may I be well'.  Please note: If you are struggling with your mental health it's really important to seek professional help. I used to work with children and always made an effort to be calm and at ease around them. Now that I work in an office I realize I am not making the same effort for myself. There are only so many things we can control and need to take comfort in the things we can't.

Finding the Ground
Although short and very simple, I find these meditations help calm the anxious energy that tends to constantly bubble within me. I tend to forget to do these everyday because my mind is all over the place but when I do I feel so much more grounded and positive. Now to work towards doing these daily! Positive affirmations do work, it's just a matter of deciding to do them.

Speaking aloud that all is well has not convinced my mind. We all need a louder voice in this universe to really transform our thoughts. Too much negative energy and words crowds our sky. Imagine what affirmations we would be hearing if our world was filled with calmness.

Of self appreciation. We may have come along way on our journeys and many of us are still hard on ourselves. What we could be doing is looking back on our progress alone to see how far we've come. We could tell ourselves "you did good." Or "you've done amazingly well, take a break." We could give ourselves permission to relax and take it easy. We could, if we really wanted to.

Every session is valuable
I learned today that even on a good day where I am not stressed or anxious these sessions are still important. While I don’t feel a dramatic change in my mood or feelings I appreciate myself for giving my mind the time this morning to just be calm.

It's difficult to be kind to myself.
I really haven't been kind to myself lately. I wish I could say that it's the opposite, but lately, I'm still dealing with depression. I think a lot of my depression stems from the fact that my favorite singer killed himself from depression. Don't worry though, I refuse to ever let my depression be the end of me. I'm not dying that easily. But, I still feel bad about not doing these meditations every day though. Still don't know how to get past that feeling neither.

It is an amazing feeling my breaths in my body. Each breath slowly travels inside me and made me more aware of being alive. I’ve had a rough couple of days and today I got to take a nice breath before getting out of bed saying to myself you are okay. 😐

I really don’t know. I haven’t been able to focus my thoughts on any one thing or idea everything just jumbles together and is all like mush in my brain. Nothing makes sense and I am at a lose for what is going on around me, like I am in a bubble of self helplessness.

Being Kind To Yourself. This meditation was really good, however I do have a hard time being nice to myself. Today, I had a friend in need and I just made sure that she was well nourished, pampered, looked altered, and had warmth and comfort. I guess I need to work on things a little more. Thank you, Aura! A very relaxing meditation. I do feel well and at ease so it is also an effective one. It’s really amazing how much easier it is to stay present in the now when your mind is not stressing or busy worrying about something and/or anything. It is a practice and a discipline to unfocus on things you cannot control and leave them alone. I just need to stay focused & bring attention to what I want, and acknowledge but dismiss what I do not want. Being kind to myself means feeling Good about what I want (and not bad about what I do not have or how things are currently)

A couple days ago, I was told that I am too cold to myself, and I need to love myself to love others. I saw this meditation and thought it would be perfect. Living a stressful life without even realizing it is so hard on the body. The fact that I am used to the pain that it doesn’t even feel like pain anymore means I have grown accustomed to being stressed. But if I learn to take care of myself then I can take care of the important people in my life.
