This Body
This body of ours has been with us from the start. It has been doing it’s very best to keep us alive day after day. In this meditation, Kristy has us come home to our body and show it some kindness and gratitude.
I placed my hand over my heart and envisioned sending kindness to this vital area, becoming aware of the warmth this kindness created. I then began to feel gratitude for every part of my body. I am very thankful for my arms, for I am able to reach. I am very thankful for my hands, for I am able to write and touch. I am very thankful for my legs, for I can move. I am very thankful for my feet, for I can walk. I am very thankful for my eyes, for I can see. I am very thankful for my ears, for I can hear. I am very thankful for my tongue, for I can taste. I am very thankful for my brain, for it gives me the ability to feel emotions and decipher between and make sense of objects. I am very thankful for my spinal column, for it allows neurons to travel up to my brain so I can move and think. I am very thankful for my organs, for each has an intricate duty in my survival. And, I am very thankful for my heart, for it ultimately keeps me alive. I am very thankful for this entire body of mine. Thank you Kristy for a wonderful meditation!
