A quick focus on breathing
There are different ways to focus on breathing and in doing so the meditation is deeper

Focus and refocus
Focusing on the body and how it is reacting allows me to focus more on actual breathing. Also, my mind might wander, but I can pull it back and refocus on my breathing.

Breathing is Life
Breathing guides you back to focusing on the now and present and appreciating life thus taking all stress, worries, or thoughts that run through your mind to a muted level to focus on the present and just be.

Day 4
Early AM meditation today. I enjoyed focusing on my breath, feeling my belly expand and contract. I felt a small release trying to emerge as tears. Focusing my breath during an anxious moment should prove helpful in the future.

Calm Before The Night
This was very helpful in calming my thoughts before bed. Otherwise I can have vivid nightmares and have too much tension in my body.

Investigating breathing
Focusing on breathing guides the mind to remain in the present moment. It seems obvious, but I never thought about how we never think about past of future breathing. Only the present matters when breathing.

Breathe
Sometimes it's hard to get the motivation to start the daily sessions. However, it's always worth it. After learning about meditation in school, everyone should take time to do it. Meditation really helps with anything in life and helps make everything brighter. You don't have to be unhappy or stressed to meditate. Meditation helps you reconnect with your body and move forward towards your future goals.

Everything comes back to the Breath
Breathing is the center of focus for a lot of my personal meditation practice. This was a great reminder that it all begins and ends with the breath.

Breathing begins at birth
As a baby we’re born with the ability to breathe, its evolutionary. As an adult we forget to breathe sometimes. Practice. Every day. Be mindful. Breathe outside in the green, by the water, wherever you are.

A Breath in many parts
A breath is made up of thousands of parts- I liked to think on that. I’m a procrastinator and always like to take on more than is practical, so breaking done tasks into smaller chunks is always a help to me, but I never thought of breaking something I do down to that small a level. A moment is a microcosm. Namaste

Thanks Lyndi for another relaxing meditation. Concentrating on where I was feeling the breath kept me engaged and helped limit the mind interruptions. Great choice for bedtime.

Breathing
It was interesting to focus on the muscles you use while breathing. Since they are the muscles that often are the most tense, being mindful of my breathing should certainly help with lessening the tension.

Monday 12.4
We breathe to stay alive and we often don’t think about the mechanics behind it. There are so many intricate flashes of information that go back and forth between muscles and bones and tendons and organs to make a breath happen. We don’t have to think about it, but when I do take a moment to be aware of my body during this miraculous oxygen exchange, I am awed.

Find The pause
It really helps me to focus when I pay attention to the start and stop of the inhale and exhale and try to find that “pause” in between. I’m less distracted and can really tune inward and relax.

The body
This session made me appreciate the human body more, how it functions by breathing etc. However it also reminded me of the finiteness of the body which brings up scary thoughts that I haven’t yet mastered control of.

Investigating breathing
This exercise really helped me focus on where I can feel my breathing in my body. I felt it in my abdomen, chest, back, throat, shoulders, and nostrils. I didn’t realize how many places you can feel your breath from. It was very relaxing and good discovery to actually pay attention to my body and it’s breathing.

Breathing is Fundemental
Beyond the necessity to breath, breathing is so fundamental to how our body feels. Hyperventilating in anxiety, panting through a workout, or taking a deep breath of cold fresh air to invigorate. When I control my breath I control my whole body in response b

Micro movements
The idea that there is more to breathing than the chest rising and falling is quite intuitive, particularly if you have studied any sort of in-depth task analysis, but the specific verbiage of "thousands of micro movements" fit surprisingly well into the meditation practice, and that wording allowed me to settle into a familiar sort of analysis, repurposing it for mindfulness. I think this may be a turning point in my understanding and practice of mindfulness. Time will tell.

Breathing
I learned that if you take some minutes to close your eyes and breathe everything else around you will slow down as you zone in your own breathing rate you body eases and feels a bit refreshed.

Investigating Breathing
I was unaware how good it could feel to just relax and really breathe for 3 minutes. Stressors and anxiety were simply put on hold for my first session. It felt good to just be able to lie down and relax - a feeling I haven't experienced for a long time. Can't wait until my next session!!!! 😜👍

Gateway to myself
Focusing on my breathing has become the most basic yet powerful tool that keeps me in touch with the universe. There is a fine line between autopilot and being present. The breath is the line for me. If i drift off, I know where the starting line is back to living with intention. Have a great day!!

Strongly ruminating about my relationship with Mei. Doesn’t feel like boy/girlfriend just good friends. Feeling sad and depressed, and meditation doesn’t ease my pain at the moment. Is Mei only wanting companionship? Somebody just to do things and chat with?

paper hands
yesterday after the gig we circled the room thanking all the residents for showing up to hear us play it had been one of those special sets a man from switzerland yodeled with us as we worked the room, igniting all the orhers to join in the joy on thier faces was priceless a visiting wife sat next to her husband I could see the sad surrender in her beautiful blue eyes she looked drained from the stress of losing him slowly he was wrapped up in blankets unable to speak barely awake when we started but the music touched something inside him just for a moment he came alive as Amelie played “A few of my favorite things” on her violin a definite look of recognition came into his eyes, along with just the slightest hint of an actual smile... When I took his hand as we said goodbye it felt like paper but his grip was strong and he did not want to let go I understood it was his way of saying thank you on the ride home Amelie was telling me about her world history class, they are studying the Greeks “What is the meaning of life?” the teacher inquired Amelie was the only one who raised her hand “That’s an easy one; to love and be loved”.

It’s about the smaller things...
We are so focused on the big picture, of what’s gonna happen next or what do I️ need to do in order for this to happen....that we forget the basic building blocks that allow us to do such things. Breathing has become so ingrained in us that we no longer remember it’s importance. By focusing on each breath you are able to focus on simple, meaningful steps...breaths to get you to the next one and the next one and the next one. Not the big picture, just small simple breathing.

Breathing
It’s nearly impossible to pay attention to my breath during every moment of every day, but practicing this meditation reminds me how rewarding it is to be mindful of my breath, even if it is just for a few moments. Realizing everything my body does to keep me alive and healthy, I am grateful for every breath I take, even if I don’t think of it at the time.

I felt extremely sad today for the things that have happend this past month
I learned that I am in control of my actions and my reactions to the way others feel towards me and the way that others feel about me. I’m extremely sensitive to judgement cause I don’t ever feel good enough. Like I’m just not ever good enough for anyone cause I’m always getting bullied or picked on. No body is in my life for me anymore cause I’ve hurt everyone in my life once and it’s really selfish and irresponsible. My constant fear of being rejected an isolated is exactly what I get.
