Focusing on the body and how it is reacting allows me to focus more on actual breathing. Also, my mind might wander, but I can pull it back and refocus on my breathing.

Early AM meditation today. I enjoyed focusing on my breath, feeling my belly expand and contract. I felt a small release trying to emerge as tears. Focusing my breath during an anxious moment should prove helpful in the future.

Focusing on breathing guides the mind to remain in the present moment. It seems obvious, but I never thought about how we never think about past of future breathing. Only the present matters when breathing.

Sometimes it's hard to get the motivation to start the daily sessions. However, it's always worth it. After learning about meditation in school, everyone should take time to do it. Meditation really helps with anything in life and helps make everything brighter. You don't have to be unhappy or stressed to meditate. Meditation helps you reconnect with your body and move forward towards your future goals.
