Intuition and Divine Guidance

In this chapter, Florence Scovel Shinn covers intuition and Divine guidance. She calls intuition the “still small voice,” the unerring inner guide, or “being taught from within”— the superconscious mind through which Divine wisdom flows. She suggests that after speaking your word (affirmation), ask for a definite lead: “Infinite Spirit, reveal to me the way, let me know if there is anything for me to do.” Then follow the hunch or intuitive prompt without reasoning or delay—“never violate a hunch.” Intuition does not explain; it simply points the way.
