This session was very good and helped me to feel better about myself. However, I do feel that HeartWorks could have given more pauses to allow people to reflect on what they're saying.

While I see the good that can be done by this, I still am not able to get to the point of thinking myself worthy of such good. I just don't like myself .... maybe some day I'll be there. Maybe not.

This meditation was wonderful! We tend to put ourselves on the back burner and forget that we need and deserve kindness, too. We get spread too thin during our daily lives that we forget to be kind to ourselves. This is a great reminder!

I was okay with giving kindness to the person I value and really felt inside of me that I want them to be happy but when it came to me and being kind I said the words I said that I want to be happy but never felt it !! It was like empty words .. I wish I will get to the point where I feel it

Commit to Kindness
I'm not sure where the messages came from that made it so automatic for me to be so unkind to myself. Treating myself with simple kindness opens a part of me that has felt lost, forgotten, and devalued. Each simple kindness softens my defenses. I want to know who I will be from being kind to myself. I think I will be beautiful. I commit to kindness toward myself.

How do I learn to love myself ?
When constantly being brought down by the people around us we tend to lose all hope and start hating ourselves because we feel that we aren’t worth any of those kind words and love . We turn away from the fact that we were created for a reason , but we lose ourselves trying to please everyone else .

I understand today’s session. When you genuinely feel that way people tend to hurt you and use you. They intentionally say and do things to hurt you because it’s easy for them. I do take it personally and carry it with me for a long time. This, I know, will eventually wear on me making me feel unworthy.

Remember that you can love yourself
I think I often reach out to others, even complete strangers, with love in lieu of concentrating some love upon myself. I “wear my heart on my sleeve” and often give it away too quickly or too easily. I can find myself hurt then, because the love I gave was nor earned or deserved...just felt and given quickly. If I can learn to retain that love inside and keep it for myself, give it to myself instead of strangers I call new friends, I might not feel so hurt as often...I probably won’t take this advice or learning to heart frankly! Love? It’s who I am! I like that about myself, and don’t really wish to change that!

This one didn’t quite do anything for me. I learned a while ago to love myself and others and to want happiness for myself and others. However if you are in a place where these are not the focus of your daily life, then this session is absolutely necessary.

We are worthy
We are all worthy of kindness to ourselves. We all deserve happiness so why do so many of us doubt this. We are told we must be a certain thing, your public persona and hide who you truely are. Of course this brings fear and doubt leading to lose of self worth and at times hate. I had trouble settling on one person so I expanded the love to our world, to every being on, in and around. Love is all around, reach out for some and give back love - wouldn’t it be a wonderful world if each of us knew without a doubt we were loved.

Recently, I have found myself in a depression and realize how toxic I have been to myself. This meditation came at just the right time to remind me that I have to remember that I am worthy of love and kindness and I need to treat myself that way. This was a good way to take a moment to focus on me and teach me how to be more compassionate to myself as well as others.

It is so much easier to feel kindness and compassion for others. Finding kindness and compassion for myself will be difficult. I was only able to do it when I still pictured someone I care deeply about by my side. When I wasn’t picturing them, it was harder to feeling kindness for myself. But I can still breathe and bring calm to myself even if I cannot bring compassion yet.

I learned that I’ve been so angry and mad at myself and the things that have happened lately, there isn’t really anyone in my life that I can be completely happy for. That’s something really lonely not having anyone to love and I just realized it right now. I still love the people in my life but I’ve been carrying around more anger than love which is not good.

This meditation suits me well ,because I tend to be very self critical. I I am usually More willing to show kindness to others than I am to myself. For this exercise, I pictured my sister with me. I love my sister, and I want her to be happy. This practice taught me The value of extending similar well wishes to myself.
