When we are anxious or stressed, our brains go into flight or fight mode, and we find it hard to calm ourselves. This meditations helps you to reduce your anxiety by targeting the fear system of your brain and providing you relief from anxiety or stress.

I learned that I can cultivate safety from within myself where ever I am.
Because of the trauma that I have survived, I learned to operate in a rather constant state of feeling unsafe without even realizing it. Now that I have worked so hard for so many years to ensure that I am safe, it is important to remind myself of that and honor my journey by embracing that safety and security as much as possible.
I am safe
I felt relaxed. I’m highly anxious about an upcoming event and every time I think of it I nearly come to tears.. This meditation was helpful in reminding me that even when that day/event comes I will be safe. My favorite part was in the very beginning when you are slowing down your breathe and becoming more aware of how you are breathing.

I felt very calm after this meditation. The strong focus on breath and a simple phrase really worked for me.
As someone who deals with anxiety I found this particularly helpful. A reminder of safety is truly necessary.

Felt awkward but good to get a hug from myself. I love hugs & try to give out at least 3 a day, but never really thought about hugging myself! Guess I need to bump my goal up to 4 now!

Great for relieving stress
This meditation is perfect for times when you’re feeling anxious or stressed, or simply in the morning to begin your day well.
I think we all need more ways to calm ourselves down. I appreciate this short, practical meditation for that reason.
Helpful for panic attacks
I have implemented this meditation for my panic attacks and have been able to calm myself without the help of others. It’s great for those days when there’s no one around to help
