Here we break down each of the Five Core Principles of CBT; how they work in synergism; and how you apply them to your life. We also discuss what makes CBT successful as a preeminent form of psychotherapy; in part because it begins with the teaching of awareness as the first step to positive change. p.s. There is a lot to take in, in each of these episodes of CBT 'Best Practices', including takeaway strategies and tools that you can immediately apply in your life! 5 Core Principles
Many of us may have heard about Cognitive Behavioral Therapy or CBT, but donโ€™t know the five core principles of which this therapy is based on. In this life coaching wisdom session, Dorothy explains these five core principles and how to apply them in our life. One common misconception about CBT is that we have to be in therapy in order to benefit from it. That is absolutely false. You see, we all have a mind that is littered with thoughts. Our body hears everything our self talk says and responds accordingly. We react and adjust our behaviors based on how we feel. So, if we want to feel better, we must bring a level of awareness to the self talk we hear. To further understand how this works, we must dive into the five core principles of CBT and how they work in unison with one another. The first principle is thoughts. What we think about, we manifest into fruition even when they are indicative of what we donโ€™t want. What we think about, we truly bring about. So, if we want good in our life, we must first think good. The next principle is feelings. The emotions we feel is based off of what thoughts that were just created. Next is the principle of behaviors, which is based off of our actions and reactions. The emotions we feel plays a large part in determining which actions we will take in any given moment as well as how we will react. Following behaviors is the principle of physical reactions. Our inner felt sensations in our body is caused by what we feel. An example of this is rapid heart rate when we feel anxious. The final core principle of CBT is environment. Our environment is where we find ourselves, our physical location and it incorporates all of the other four principles of CBT. Our thoughts are extremely powerful. In fact, how we perceive our entire life is solely based on them! Therefore, it is crucial to choose and challenge our thoughts in a way that works best for us. Namaste ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿปโค๏ธโ˜ฎ๏ธ

CBT principles
I learned that there are five principles of CBT(Coglitive behavioral therapy). These are thoughts, Feelings, behaviors, physical reactions, and environment.๏ฟผ๏ฟผ CBT works by teaching its users how do use five principles affect the way they react to situations . The end goal of CBT is to help those who use it change from one constructive behaviors to helpful ones by for remo ving awareness of thoughts, and then of the other four principles. CBT is considered a breakthrough in therapeutic techniques designed to promote connection between the body and mind. It has been used to treat a wide variety of disorders and correct all sorts of negative behaviors. I also learned that you donโ€™t have to be in therapy to reply CBT to your life. Since this is the case, I intend iโ€™m being aware of the five principles of CBT outside of the therapy Iโ€™m already doing to put my own effort into curving my self-critical behaviors I am grateful to those who work for this app for teaching me how to aAppyCognitive behavioral therapy to my room life. Take in information
Thoughts, feelings, behaviour, emotion, environmentโ€ฆ pause, examine, choose, let go, add breathwork, change the broken dialogue that no longer serves me and work building one that is authentic and loving of myself and all things, acceptance and compassion and curiosity are building blocks. I write this down in the hopes the information will stick and I can begin to practice in earnest. With loving kindness X
