Life can become a series of moments that we live in search of what will 'make' us feel good (aka 'happy', 'joyful', 'alive') rather than living life as a series of moments that we easily enjoy (and relish) because we are living connected to our inner happiness - which is always present - always accessible - always a part of us. 'Happiness is Your Inherent State' The next time that you find yourself 'in search of' something because of how you want to feel, consider that life mirrors existence. That "something" that you have convinced yourself you need - becomes an even better experience because of your current state of being. Life that is lived with appreciation and 'thanks'; with gratitude - fuels abundance and joy. Choices...
We all want to be happy. We often look for something outside of ourselves that will make us happy, such as reading our favorite book, enjoying our favorite meal, online shopping, or a walk out in nature. While searching for external factors to make us happy is not a wrong thing to do, Dorothy explains how we can enjoy all of the experiences that make us happy so much more if we are Already content. We live our life fully in the present moment. We live life with an open and loving heart. We do not create unnecessary suffering by thinking of the past, giving ourselves negative self-talk or trying to control what is indeed, out of our control. In regards to our thoughts, we can Choose what we want to focus on. We can focus on the negative or we can focus on the positive. Realizing that happiness is all of our inherent state’s of being, we can all Learn how to live in this joyous state of being. Indeed, life mirrors our inner existence. We all have the Choice to live a life full of appreciation and thanks with gratitude. If we Choose to live our lives this way, our lives will be enriched by abundance and joy! I use to be that joyful mother who loved adventures with my children. I realized in that moment of listening, I lost myself to the busy life and need to return to the mother, I once was.

Constantly thinking and choosing happiness

I learned that if you meditate it helps you relax and stay calm and
I learned that if you meditate it helps you stay calm and relax and stay at peace and I love that they are teaching you to be in a peaceful peaceful and quieter position and yes this meditation is good it’s peaceful it’s like listening to god say hey I’ve got this and be calm and I like the things that they do on it’s like zapping that negative and zapping the positive thoughts in I love to meditate

I feel anxious sometimes and sometimes it’s not good when you’re feeling anxious
I feel anxious so I meditate and sometimes questions will be running through my mind like how I do feel am I going to be ok or is god going to get me through this or why is all this negative coming back to me I just want feel at peace again I feel the relaxing music and I feel the lord talking to me sometimes when I meditate I noticed that the lord is always here talking to me he’ll be talking to me always saying welcome to my presence I will sometimes feel like I’m down on myself I start to meditate and I just feel at peace again and I love the color blue it relaxes me and is why I feel at peace

I’ve learned that the more you meditate the less stressed you’ll become
I see why I meditate because I know that meditation is always helping me out and I love that the way god’s grace is helping me is god’s way of saying don’t worry I’ve been here all along I will never leave you or forsake you and I have noticed that when I meditate things calm down a little bit and then they start to settle down a bit and I love to meditate and listen to relaxing music and just being at peace and it helps me relax and stay calm through out the night and I feel more calmer and I am able to sleep at night and to be at peace 100%❤️

I felt at peace, and an awakening or ah ha moment of how sensible the teaching was, simple yet difficult to execute at times.

I’ve noticed that the chaos of my outer world is a reflection of my inner me. I fight the pain and exhaustion of fibromyalgia and arthritis and perimenopause. My mind tosses around negative thoughts of loneliness and discontent. This is not how I want to be.

Thank you for the reminder
I have so much going on in my life right now that is stressful and emotionally painful, that I’d forgotten what my natural state really is. It IS joy. I AM fundamentally a joyful person. In less than 2 weeks I hope to be able to put this stress behind me. Until then, I will remind myself of my true, natural state. Thank you for the reminder, Dorothy. 💖

I feel better when I express myself and don’t hold back
I have plenty to contribute to better others. It is when I share my deepest, most intimate thoughts and feelings that I feel the most relief. It’s refreshing to just be me and to be heard by others. It strengthens bonds beyond the day to day and build trust and intimacy
