Improvement in focus
Lots of distracting thoughts but the outside voice helps to bring myself back to focus on meditation. Being easy on myself and allowing my self to be okay with these distracting thoughts is hard. My mind dwells on conversations and events so it is hard to unwind from these events and stay present.

Awareness of new method to meditation
That it helps me to focus on heartbeats and pulses helps me to relax more than focusing on breathing alone.

Morning
It takes effort (intention) to reach your goals (best self), but that once effort is put into motion it takes on a life of its own and can propel you through your day without much more effort needed

Interesting variation
I liked the variation of focusing on the heartbeat and pulse as opposed to focusing on the breath. It's nice to mix things up. The novelty helped to focus.

The rhythm
I learned that when I take deep breath and focus on the weather my heart is beating I can feel the rhythm of my body moving through my pulse and into the mind.

Pulse
I learned that, if I focus, I can feel the pulse of my heart in my chest, wrists, neck, and upper arms--anchoring me in the moment. I love this one. ☺️

Thankful Tuesday 11-14-17
I liked this meditation and it really helped me from an earlier post I didn’t understand and/or I was upset by that I needed to calm myself down from. I believe that if this continues, I will withdraw myself from Aura.

Simultaneous
I never realized how everything was in sync. My body is working together to make sure I function and breathe every day - I love that it’s so comforting

Pulse
It was difficult to feel in my chest but, once I felt my wrist I was aware that my entire body pulses with the rhythm of my heart. It was reassuring that it is always there for me to focus on. The pulse like my breath is another way to focus my attention when life gets a little crazy.

Sun-day December 10
Really taking the time to feel my heart and understand that it really NEVER stops was great for me. I️ love the way it incorporated my heart with the pulse of my wrist or throat.

Pulsating
It was easy for me to become aware & feel my heart in my chest and the pulsating at my wrists and ankles. It was like a drum line keeping time - very coordinated and never ending but... Calmly mesmerizing... Thanks Aura for making aware of yet another tool to use while meditating and to check in with my body like breathing. Focused awareness is such a wonderful thing!

Difficult
I found this very difficult. Couldn’t quiet my mind. I never felt like I connected to my heartbeat.

Harmony, internal rhythm
Feeling my heartbeat, then listening for my pulse in my wrists, I can tune into an internal rhythm. Expanding this to listen for my pulse in other parts of my body, then to my breath overtop that rhythm, then moving around too sense the room around me, I gain a kind of clarity, and with that, autonomy. Grounded, interdependent, myself a closed system with awareness of my inner workings separate from the immediate world around me.

Heartbeat/Pulse
Learning that I have an internal rhythm is something new for me to be aware of as a meditation. It seemed to calm areas of pain and release tension in my body. Thanks for the lesson 🙏🏻

Awareness
I loved the focus on the heartbeat, even if I did find the pulse exercise a little difficult. Is the heartbeat always so strong, so evident, and we just relegate it to our subconscious?

Heartbeat and pulse
I still have not been able to feel my pulse though have tried for years. I did feel my heartbeat at first. Then as soon as I congratulated myself for that, I lost it!

What is my life
Why do I do the things I do? Are they really useful or do I just do them to keep me busy and not Feel what I am feeling. I don't know what I am doing with my life, I don't know why I am angry. What am I doing!

Day 24
I learned that focusing on the heart is just as beneficial as focusing on the breath for me and gives me lots of purpose with my meditation

Beating
I am in sync, my heartbeat, my body, my mind and my soul. It beats to its own rhythm, my own song but it blends in with the songs of others to make a beautiful symphony. One heartbeat might get lost in the music but nevertheless it is still part of the whole.

The rhythm of my life...
It was lovely to feel the pulse in multiple places at once. I was distracted by the pump noise (?) in the background of the speaker....

Pulse
I have a hard time hearing or feeling my heart beat, but I can most often hear and feel my pulse. Often times it’s loudest when I try to sleep; I can hear it pulsing against my pillow in my head. Sometimes I even feel like I can feel blood coursing through my veins. Perhaps if I continue along this mindful journey I’ll be able to go deeper and to hear my heart, too!

El pulso
A pesar de haber tenido hoy un momento que se supone debía de ser muy emocionante, o por lo menos como la otra persona lo describió, no lo sentí así. No sentí emoción alguna.

I can also use my heart to meditate on, not just my breath.

Drum solo
I usually lay down on my back for meditation and place my phone half on my sternum half on my belly. I never noticed before that I can feel my heart beating against my phone! Then adding my pulse with one hand touching the other wrist I was really able to focus, experiencing the two beats and how they are separate but from the same source- the rhythm of life. Namaste

I’m still tired after sleeping. Need more rest. Wish I was sleeping better. Too many dreams that make me feel like I haven’t slept.

The beat inside you
This meditation made me so grateful for my tireless heart, beating rhythmically for me everyday. I don’t show my thanks or appreciation to my heart enough. I’ve never sat down to pay attention to the beat like this or found stillness like this to really feel my pulses. Very powerful and unique meditation. Thank you for sharing.

Zombie
I had so much difficulty finding my heartbeat. Never was able to move past the chest. I kept thinking that I must be a zombie but then realized I have severe disconnect between my heart and head. I will return to connection.

Pulse
I found the pulse in my wrist easier to focus on than my chest. I also usually wear headphones for these sessions. During the pauses in instruction, I could hear the pulse in my ears, which really helped to immerse me in this practice.

Felt a little rushed and confused but it helps me to relax and stay calm for the morning.
I learned that inside your body is the sound of music and it is created by all your organs and muscles and everything else in your body.

And you didn’t even say a word...
One of my first musical memories goes back to when I was around eight or nine listening to the Partridge Family Album over and over again as I looked at the pictures on the deep red jacket, which was designed to resemble an old fashioned leather photo album. I also faithfully watched the TV show The Partridge Family with Shirley Jones and David Cassidy, which was about a single mother raising her family of five musicians who all performed in the family band to make ends meet. Seen from the eyes of a lonely only child who’s unhappy mother escaped from her self-absorbed, cold-hearted bastard of a husband by self medicating with alcohol and nicotine, the show’s fictional family seemed like heaven. The music and the show helped me hang on and infused my fragile spirit with hope that somewhere there were families where people actually cared for one another. “I think I love you, isn’t that what life is made of? Though it worries me to say that I’ve never felt this way...” - D.C.

Focus
I rarely take the time to feel my pulse or search for my own heartbeat. This was a wonderful lesson in focusing on my body and grounding myself in those internal movements that keep me alive.

Heartbeat
Thanks to this practice, I now have a newfound appreciation for my heartbeat. The heartbeat is so simple. It is often Overlooked. However, it deserves to be appreciated, Because it keeps us alive. Without the heartbeat, we would not experience the Full gamut of opportunities life has to offer. I like the part when the life coach called The heartbeat “the body‘s natural rhythm“, comparing it to a drum.
