I learned a long time ago, I think from Brian Tracy, that you may not believe what others tell you, but you always believe your inner voice. I’d always told myself I wasn’t creative, so my brain went about proving me right! As a manager, I learned how my words could affect others, too. And, of course, just living shows you the effect others’ words can ha e on you!

Frogs
I’ve thought about what I’m about to say. This story was lame. Perhaps for an 8 year old but I doubt a kid is listening to this. Don’t waste your valuable 3 minutes.

The frogs
It’s so easy to appreciate these lessons and stories in the calm serenity of the early morning. What makes me smile, is those occasional moments when “frantic and frustration” rule the moment.... and every so often one of these stories comes to mind, and perfectly diffuses the situation. ... and I leave it all fall as it may, and move on to a new moment. ... they do come up so quickly, don’t you think? Heck.. I’ve had three or four of them in the time it took me to type this! : )

Words can effect us in negative and positive ways. You never know what situation a person can be in so always think before you say or just don’t say it at all.

We have all been influenced by what others say to us and about us. This story highlights the importance of not paying attention to what others say and just go for it. Your true strength lies in your own self. We must believe.

Trying...
Cute short story with a couple takeaways for me: 1) Pay attention to where you are walking, especially when in the woods (or looking at your phone these days ) 2) Never give up! Regardless of what others are saying. 3) Use any negative from others as fuel in your tank to push you to higher achievements. 4) There are times when it is good to be hard of hearing (especially for salesmen) 5) Try to be selective who you travel and/or hang out with! 6) We will typically perform better when we Think others are cheering for us. 7)Never underestimate the power of an audience for good or evil. And most importantly - maybe what we consider to be our short comings/handicaps/disabilities/limitations (or whatever you want to label them) can actually save our life - so count your blessings and be grateful for who you are! ❤️☮️🍀

Never give up!
When I was very young I remember seeing my grandma crawl on your hands and knees to get around because she had severe arthritis and had had a stroke and a heart attack. I was too young to help her walk and everyone was at work, she instructed me to get a chair and crawl up on the kitchen counter, get the bread out of the bread box and put it in the toaster, she gave me instructions every step of the way so I could make us toast so we could eat. I remember that day every time I’m in a situation that is extremely difficult and I’ve had my day when I had to crawl to the kitchen to get something to eat because my back went out. She taught me not to give up, not to cave-in and I believe she’s the reason why I am a survivor of many different difficult situations. Rest in peace grandma, you’re not forgotten.❤️

Words hurt
Growing up I was taught that sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me. Recovery has taught me that words hurt feelings. When I deny the hurt I am abusing myself. Sometimes I wish I could not hear the hurtful words. Other times I am grateful when I do because I can set boundaries to protect myself.

Frog in my throat
I'm fairly used to opening my mouth wide and plopping a foot right into it! I don't mean to be this way, I'm just so ready to jump in with ideas and thoughts, that I often blurt out the wrong thing! It's hurt me in the past, but I've been striving to stop this behavior. Especially now my brain isn't quite what it used to be. Slow and steady’ll win this race for me.

Mindful
It made me think more about what I say/do will have an impact on people and what people say/do will have an impact on me. It reminds me to be mindful and careful with my words because it could have an effect on someone else’s day.

Made me think about life
I been constantly having sleepless nights during work days even weekends, I been so focused on my 2 year relationship that ended I kept putting my self down thinking I would never make it anywhere in life, will I find another girl etc. Hearing this made me realize no matter how hard things get you shouldn't push yourself down, instead believe you can accomplish anything because that is the greatest achievement of all.

Makes sense
There are some bad frogs in the world. Ones that will tell you to give up without trying. All you need is one good frog to turn their words around and make a bad situation better.

Positive to self and others
It’s hard to think this in times of distress and sadness. You want to say what you what to say to someone, but would it help them or hurt them? Are you going to make a positive impact on them and they leave a positive impact on you? Or speak the negative. Stay positive everyone and love one another and self❤️

self love
my best friend told me something today and i think is really important : “you don’t have to love yourself right not but you do have to learn to appreciate yourself. start small. you’ll get there.” i find this so empowering because we do have to live with ourselves for the rest of our lives so we might as well at least like and appreciate ourselves and find things to live for. and, little by little, begin to love ourselves and actually enjoy our lives, enjoy living and love. i don’t know if this makes sense to anyone else but it really spoke to me...

words can make a big differrence
i should be careful in using words, it can be so powerful to encourage someone to change their life for the better or it could could lead them to their downfall we should always stay in the positive light

A Group of Frogs
The speaker makes a point, you should always strive to be benevolent and encouraging. On the other hand you should also be able to deal with adversity on your own. The deaf frog was able to shut out the noise and focus on him/herself. That’s my takeaway, if it’s not positive or constructive, shut it out. It doesn’t help you and it doesn’t get you anywhere. Keep striving and working and you will reach your goals, it won’t be easy, but you will

Turmoil Times
So simplistic, when everything around is crashing down I automatically want to hide and give up. Then I remind myself- if I am what people say, then I know nothing of myself and to give in would only give them the power to say who I am.
L
Laura
Frogs Story
What i took from this story is that we can take what others say and give up hope or we can choose to be deaf and keep trying. If it’s negative stuff people say choose to be deaf and think of it as they are cheering us on. Why think people are being negative. I know it’s the literal meaning, but I like it.

Encouraging Myself
I will always be the first person with words of encouragement, congratulations, or kindness for someone else. But remembering that I need to give the same to myself is a challenge. I need to work on that so that when I’m in the pit, I’m not also one of the frogs at the top yelling “you should just give up!”

Encouragement
My family and friends are very kind people but many of them are like the frogs at the top - they don't understand what I do and thus are very discouraging. I need to completely tune them out and pretend as though everyone is cheering for me and press forward. I like thinking about the reverse as well - it's important to encourage others.

People words including your own have a huge effect on how you feel and think and how you make others feel . Be careful what you say it could be the difference in life or death to some
J

I think it's mean and rude to tell some one give up.
If people (or frogs in this problem) yell at you to give up don't because like this frog that gave up he thought everything is hopeless unlike the frog that ignored the other and kept trying and belived made it out!

Encouragement and support
For not only others, but also towards myself, the words I say or think have an effect. They aren't JUST words. Especially in repetition where the effect compounds upon itself and grows in intensity and creates it's spiral. But fear not, as much as this is true negatively it is true positively. A change to positive thinking and speaking makes the world a better place.

“Sticks and Stones. . .
. . . may break my bones, but words will never hurt me.” Anyone who has ever suffered verbal abuse knows that this nursery rhyme is NOT true. The effects of words, both positive and negative, can last for decades. Although we cannot control the words of others, we can choose our words to others and ourselves. This short little story reminds us of the importance and power of our words. 💫♥️💫

The story doesn’t make much sense. He’s deaf, and obviously the other frogs don’t know or else they wouldn’t have been yelling at him, yet he hears them ask if he heard them.

How could he hear them ask if he was deaf! Otherwise it was an inspirational story.
That words have a lot of power and that it’s god not to listen to people who doesn’t really care for you. To surround me with positive, supportive, upbringing and caring people.

Diferencia

someone complimented me today and it immediately felt good. But a few moments later all the negative thoughts showed up. "they just felt sorry for you, you're not good enough, they were just being nice". These thoughts owe took my day and it just went down hill. I'm hoping to find someone to combats these thoughts and love myself more.

I hope to be all three. Adversity
Adversity can bring new positive things like the coffee, I can go into a situation hard like a potato and come out soft and completely changed and finally I can be a fragile egg and be on the edging of breaking but I will come out of tough times even tougher

I like the frog story because it’s very inspiring. Today is definitely the time to watch what comes
It reinforces the fact that we definitely need to watch our mouths, especially now. Sometimes if I don’t know what to say, I just smile or rub my chin thoughtfully and then come up with a great sentence.

Words to others.
Unfortunately I am stuck in my improvement in this area. I always start with the intention of trying to encourage my kids but end up saying too much and very often end up bringing up too many negatives. I recognize I've improved in this area but have so far to go still
