Wow I tried to level up and took the 7mins meditation (usually I just do the 3mins) I can feel a deep connection between me and meditating. I just need to practice how to absorb the feeling of gratitude to my body I’m still working on it :)

I had a call today and this woman had me laughing a smiling just from her awesome accent and they way she talked. She won’t ever know how much she brightened my day just by her being herself. I am grateful for everyone who shares my day with me, even if it’s just offering laughter or a smile. It’s not a life long contribution in that I probably won’t see that person ever again but I may think back about that smile or laugh and it will still bring light to my moment. During this meditation I envisioned offering gratitude instead of criticism, gratitude instead of bullying and gratitude as a way of making a peace offering. As I thought about this, I envisioned that famous photo from the sixties of someone putting flowers down the barrels of the soldier’s guns.

My mind was full of chatter this morning and I wasn’t too sure what I was thinking or feeling. Then came my personal moment recommendation to do this meditation which I was able to follow and found myself smiling in the middle of it and feelings of upliftment flowed through me as I sent out gratitude, love and intentions of healing hugs to those I thought of. It made me remember that I may not have many people in my life to be grateful for, but oh boy, those that I do have: I have so much gratitude for! It is quality over quantity; that’s for sure. People come into our life for a reason, a season or a lifetime. Regardless, they have helped us to get to where we find ourselves in this moment. In this beautiful meditation, we pause to give our thanks with appreciation to these people and then offer them a gift of our choosing. Then we bring it back to ourselves and savor the sensation of gratitude we have just created. After settling on my bench in my backyard, I began to bring people as well as animals in my life that I am truly grateful for. One by one, I visualized them in front of me as I said words of appreciation and wellness to them. Offering them each a unique gift that I knew they would appreciate, warmth began to fill my heart space. Savoring this beautiful sensation, I found myself smiling and filled with happiness.
