Power of red rocks
Road trip! On the drive up here my body was tense and stressed. My mind was going down memory lane with very few positive memories coming up. Then I saw the red rocks. My body relaxed. My mind cleared. I was grateful. This is just what I needed.

Charity begins at home..., so show your body, “the house of the soul”, gratitude. Starting with words alone had a healing effect I was not expecting. I felt refreshed all over, a great symbiotic response. I felt calmer, my limbs felt less tension, and a hopefulness blossoms within.

I learned that we have so much to thank our body for. The human body keeps us alive without us even having to think...our heart and lungs keep us breathing, our brain sends millions of messages to every part of the body, and our legs and arms help us with every day activities. This meditation helped me to express gratitude for my health and functioning, even if I may not completely love how I look, I know that my body keeps me strong and healthy.

Perk-Up, It’s Easy!
An easy, graceful, and high spirited hello to your body does wonder for my energy levels. I enjoyed the pace and tone of this upbeat meditation so much, I favorited it. It’s so nice to feel the crispness and bright and airy lightness of being out bodies can give us. And all this reward is packaged up right below your brain just waiting to be acknowledged, and just like that, it’s there for you. My best buddy is actually me and my body! Still trying to figure out what is going on with my heart but hopefully these last tests will give some insight. Grateful, but...
I really am grateful for my body and what it is capable of doing all by itself. However, this meditation made me think of a couple of things. 1. I’m skinny. When I lay down, particularly on my left side, I feel my heart beating on my chest wall. That’s very annoying. 2. I can’t put myself fully into the session when my jeans are too tight. Maybe this just isn’t a good night for thinking about my body. 🤨

This was a nice reminder to not take my health for granted. I used to always take the stairs, because if I were to ever lose my ability to walk, I would look back and wish I had appreciated the chance to. I plan to take up that practice again as a form of gratitude for the legs that carry me through every day.

Starting a beautiful Sunday, in awe of how much my body does for me, while I am awake and while I sleep. I’m grateful for my body for letting me practice and find so much joy in yoga, as well as the little things, such as being able to walk and run. Grateful to (currently) not have problems with chronic pain and grateful that I am physically healthy, 97% of the time. Reminding myself that what I often take for granted (ex: my health) is something another person may wish for and to spend today finding the little moments that bring me joy.

I could sense different parts of my body doing various things like: heart rhythmically thumping its tune, pulsating blood dancing to the tune thru my veins and the never ending rise and fall of my chest and abdomen. Then I felt this tingly in my legs. A distraction at first and as I focused on it and breathed into it... it came to me - they were just trying to dance to the same tune as the rest of my body!! Oh Happy Day! Now it is time for sleep! Going to a Concept Therapy weekend starting tomorrow morning and maybe I am just too excited to sleep!!

I’ve never felt so silly doing a meditation; I found myself actually repeating out loud: “thank you arm, thank you lips, thank you toes, etc.” I actually ended up smiling by the end because it’s so easy to take everything in life for granted. I’ve been slacking on meditation with my app, but have been taking time throughout my day to stop and think about things, the good positive things that have brought me to where I am today. I learned that I need to take more time to show my body gratitude. We tend to take our bodies for granted. I personally could don’t spend enough time be grateful for all the my body truly does and accomplishes everyday. We work our bodies so hard and sometimes don’t give them the rest and attention they need. When you stop and actually take time to think about all that they do on a daily basis it completely amazes me.
