I was happy to get a meditation that reached out to me as an athlete. I spend a decent amount of time working my muscles and expect a lot from them. It was good to sit and take some time to appreciate them.

We often meditate to clear the mind and give thanks or bring clarity or stillness. However today's mediation bit y bit emphasizes the unsung hero in our body; our muscles which silently nut effectively keep us going not just throughout our day but our lifetimes. This meditation brought that awareness with a strong sense of gratitude for each muscle and the role it does.

I did this meditation while on the train and there were many sounds and other distractions around me. I found the gaps of silence in the meditation to be difficult in regards to staying focused but I was happy I could bring my attention back when I realized it was wandering.

we tend to forget that we were made in God’s image. our bodies are so beautiful and strong but hardly are taken care of when you’re focused on other things. we need to cleanse and show gratitude to our temple and remember that the muscles are working everyday for our pleasure. we’re in perfect design, even as disabled. whatever we lack, we grow stronger and whatever we have, we become thankful. appreciation for our anatomy. 💜

I just turned 40 this week. My mind is stronger and my body has become weaker. This was an awesome exercise today. I’ve been making small changes in my diet and sleep. Exercise is the missing piece. Im grateful for being healthy. I am truly blessed, I feel it with all my heart. Time to take care of myself so I can take care of anyone in need. Thank you muscles 💪I owe ya one!

Im training for a 10 mile run and a triathlon and last week was a bit off. I didnt have the discipline or time i have had in previous weeks and it was a bit frustrating. My back was also bothering me so maybe the rest was needed so i dont injure myself. Picturing and appreciating these muscles seems like a very good reset to start this week. I know it will also be a busy one but staying grounded in meditations like these helps to keep me in balance.

This is a quick body scan to show appreciation for the various muscle groups and what they do. I have done this & a few other things for years to keep the awesome body I developed as a youth. I often confess that I am blessed with an awesome body with quick healing powers. I have a clear image of the body I want ( this is the CRITICAL part) and mine is my 220# buff body from my 20s! And I have been fortunate to learn how to keep it for decades now. Because my body wants to create the image in my mind, I find it natural to drink plenty of water and eat lotsa fruits & veggies and just a little meat (although I do a lot of peanut butter). I do not believe it is just about the food we eat but our “Attitude” about the food we eat. I find it easy to eat a little junk food once in a while with no problem. But I truly enjoy fruits, veggies, seeds & nuts and spices. Get a good image of yourself, eat right, exercise - basically move all your muscles and joints everyday (going to the gym is not necessary) and have gratitude for life and say to yourself often - “I am returning to perfect health!” And you will.

I felt sleepy and stressed before doing this meditation. Now that I did this, I feel so more awake and more conscious of my surroundings. I recommend this meditation for anyone who needs it anytime. I liked the part when the speaker said we can replay the meditation at any time while having pleasant bird sounds.
