What we usually overlook
Senses are always used but it is when it is frequently use it that we have the tendency to overlook them. They bring happiness and sadness and of various opposing qualities, but it is always important to be thankful that we experience life with them.

Gratitude for the under appreciated
Today's meditation was a great reminder to show gratitude for things that are so crucial to living a fully present life, but yet I am guilty of taking them for granted. Today I will look with new eyes, listen with intent, talk with sincerity and hopefully not smell anything bad😝 I've got an attitude of gratitude today!

Gratitude for the senses
I'm learning to be thankful for the senses of my body. While being aware and thankful of my senses, I realize that my senses create this experience I call life. I need to show my appreciation by embracing, applying and using them more. My senses combined with the vehicle of my body enables me to become the explorer, in every breath I take. I am thankful and blessed.

Appreciation of sensing the world
Sometimes we forget to appreciate how we can interact with the world through so many senses, even beyond the 4 focused in this meditation. I’m so grateful that I can see, hear, smell, and taste/speak, allowing me to experience the world in so many ways.
M
Mike
Sensory focus
By moving my awareness to my physical eyes and ears, then my whole head one part at a time, I gain better focus and total awareness. (My senses are the window between my self and the world and this feels like cleaning the window)

Five senses
Elementary, I was hoping that there would be gratitude for the proprioceptive sense as it is critical for meditation. Perhaps at a later session.

Ready for the day
Before I go sing and have to think and focus on muscle movement and technique and physiology, it’s lovely to take a moment and think about how my senses contribute to my being and my day when they are not “working” on my profession.

Gratitude is a huge determining factor in how you live your life and being grateful for the fundamental things you have to make you who you makes you realize that without these things life would not be the same you wouldn’t have all the joy you have and for that reason you should take times to really appreciate what you have....eyes,ears,nose,mouth,

It’s hard to be grateful sometimes
There are times when even though I feel grateful for the things I have, my anxiety will not allow me to be grateful. And that is why anxiety is hard to deal with, Because it is mean. It is mean to take away my ability to be grateful for all the things in my life, when I know I am grateful. It’s hard to know you are something and not be that thing at the same time. Anxiety is cruel.

Check-Ins Are Good
I like the fact that this body check-in was a little different. I also like the fact that it was coupled with gratitude. We don’t usually do a check in for the senses. We also don’t usually think senses either. My father recently had radiation and chemo therapy for head and neck cancer; I believe it’s called CSS. His body does not make the saliva that used to. Taste is also been affected. Eating is not the joy that it once was. So I understand that it’s very easy to take for granted things so simple as eating, taste, saliva. We don’t realize the job they did until they no longer can do it.

In Touch
I found myself overjoyed after this session as I realized how lucky I am to have these senses. A few years ago I had began losing the sense of touch, taste, and the ability to think rationally. Without knowing, I was going about my life, for 8 to a year, with diabetes. By the time I was assessed by a doctor I was knocking on death’s doorstep. Neuropathy had began to set in. I could barely stand. My mouth was so dry, no food was tasteful. In fact, anything with a hint of acidity burned my mouth. I was disease ridden and had a potassium level of .4. That was dangerous to put it lightly. I remember at the time that I had taken so much for granted and vowed, if I survived, to cherish every moment moving forward. Today I am grateful for our senses that we often expect to be there when we wake up. Stay in touch with your bodies’ many miracles.

Grateful for my nose I can smell I can taste . I smell love and birch wood at the tip of my nose. In that I can taste it. It tastes bitter but my imagination says sweet. I love this smell.

Thankful.
I learnt that unless I sit down and wonder about all the things I might be grateful about, I won’t be able catch the pure essence of life: to live in the moment! I am grateful for all the things and opportunities that have passed my way and those myriad little lessons which have moulded me to become who I am today! 🌻

Gratitude for 4 Senses
I realized during this meditation that I take my senses for granted. It never occurred to me until doing this meditation to be thankful for hearing sounds such as the sounds of nature or beautiful music. It also never occurred to me to be thankful for the ability to hear sounds that could alert me to danger. I have only touched on one sense. I definitely recommend this meditation of gratitude.

Perception
My open eyes bring in beauty. My nose breathes in rich, relaxing odors. My ears detect what is behind me when I ride my bike. My mouth speaks eloquent, kind words so my needs can be met. Today I am grateful for a realistic perception of the world, my relationships, and myself.

Appreciating...
While we use them all day, every day it is easy to over look our senses and how they help us to experience, connect to & interact with our world. It is easy to notice when one is not working right, but I intend to start appreciating all of them that are working at all in hopes of improving my overall awareness. ❤️👁👃👂🏻👅🍀

Four ways to connect to peace via senses
When uncomfortable use the four senses and meditation to change of focus from anxiety/anger etc to shift to a mindset of gratitude and peace. Eyes (4 things I can see) Ears (4things I can hear) Nose (4 things I can smell) Mouth (4things I can taste) Be always grateful for these tools and use to my advantage

Sense of Gratitude
We often get so busy that we don’t even realize how much our senses enhance our overall experiences in life. Think for a moment...imagine how dull our experiences would be if we didn’t have our senses? In this wonderful meditation, we take some time to appreciate our four senses. These eyes enhance my experiences by allowing me to read, see colors and shapes. These ears enhance my experiences by allowing me to listen to music, both manufactured and natural. They allow me to sense danger. This nose enhances my experiences by allowing me to breathe and smell foods, such as fresh baked bread. This mouth enhances my experiences by allowing me to speak and taste foods. It also allows me to bring in fresh oxygen and release carbon dioxide out into the environment. Going through each of my four senses, I have a great appreciation and thus, a sense of gratitude for every one of them. Thank you, senses for giving me tools that enhance my awareness! Namaste 🙏🏻❤️☮️

Grateful for my senses
I am grateful that my eyes allow me to see my loved ones and the beautiful colors the world has to offer. I am grateful for my hearing, because it helps me to engage in conversation. Additionally, reading is a difficult for me . Consequently, I take in a lot of information through hearing. I am grateful for My nose for allowing me to breathe in and out. I am also grateful for the ability to smell freshly baking desserts and to send the flowers. Finally, I am grateful that my mouth allows me to breathe ,taste, Express myself,, Laugh, scream , speak, and playfully tease those I love. This practice also reminded me how important the nose and mouth are in oxygenating the body. I am very grateful for that reinforcement. I noticed but touching the body parts associated with each sense helped increase my level of focus on the senses.
