Focus the Breath, Focus the Mind
I love the analogy of life as waves rolling in on the ocean; sometimes steady, sometimes turbulent, crashing into shore. I also loved the analogy of the windstorms of life, perhaps more so today because we’re under a weather advisory for damaging winds tonight.
That said, as much as I connected with the analogies, my mind galloped back to an incident that happened earlier in the day, and as I breathed in and out like the ebb and flow of the waves, I felt my ire being fanned with each breath. This doesn’t typically happen to me. Typically I am calmed and focused on breathing.
