This meditation was so relaxing. I truly felt a part of my visualization. Remembering that other people’s problems are not my own. Next time I am faced with this I will visualize my bird flying me away from the problem. I am at peace flying high in the sky far away from the stress.

Observing the discomfort
Interesting how I find it a little uncomfortable to wish kindness or peace towards myself. Some story within me still sees it as selfish or narcissistic. I’m always curious what my ego is trying to protect me from with that story? Why wouldn’t she want me to feel worthy of kindness or peace? Does that help me stay small and safe? I am able to connect with the desire of bringing more peace into my life. I am open to breaking old stories that keep my life small.

Not what I needed or was looking for tonight
Facing a big important day tomorrow, opted for the 7 minute version of this session...too long for my household I guess! Got interrupted many times, and completely lost the thread of the teaching. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

umm...
this was the first time I did choose "sad" at the beginning. none of the results seemed to help me getting happier but i wanted to try this one. despite the soft, calming sounds it was hard to focus on the voice of the lady. this is the first session which i didn‘t like at all. I‘m sorry.

Irene, what a wise, gentle soul you are. I have listened to this meditation before but today it took on special importance. I need to distance myself, from time to time, from the extreme stressors in my life. Today I definitely needed to fly, to free myself, to breathe freely, so that I can return in a better state of being to the jobs at hand. Again, many thanks and I will surely climb aboard the bird again. 🙏🏻Namaste🙏🏻

Nice long meditation, my mind wandered quite a bit and came back to focus when the bird landed and invited me to fly away on its back. I found that my mind wandered less if I opened my eyes and I found myself in a very peaceful and relaxed state of mind. Thanks 🙏 Irene

Disappointed with this guide
Ive found that everyone one of her meditations is not as advertised for the three minute versions. Never got to “flying”. They also all end abruptly because they are meant to go longer. Please remove them from the rotation or relabel them.

I understand that through this meditation. Or any meditation I do on here or not, they will not rid me of negative thoughts or stress. They will however entertain a better perspective on these thoughts. And they allow me time to tell my stressors “I know you’re here, I’ll get back to you. I’m doing this for a moment” Sending love ❤️

I learned that when you need to relax, it’s not that just your mind relaxes. Your body needs to relax. Your heart and soul need to relax. All thoughts need to drift away to help you focus on a good nights sleep b

Why no one don’t understand me I feel really stressed out I really don’t understand what anyone is saying to me & when I have emotional 😭 break down I shutdown don’t understand anything & what people are saying to me

I learned that it is important after a busy day for us to just Lay down and relax and come to a complete stop and literally fly high. With our reflection on the day and all that we accomplished and all that we are. We must be one in the moment and be so relaxed that we feel ourselves flying high. Breathe and release any and all stress or tension that we may be feeling at the end of our day or throughout our day. It is important to stop and just relax and be in the moment and take care of ourselves. Our minds and our bodies need breaks. I however am ending my productive busy day just before bed with this mediation which I am so grateful for but I do believe it is important for us to do this mediation throughout our day if we can or at least before bed but the more me do this throughout our day, I think it will only benefit us in the long run. I really enjoyed this mediation 🧘🏼‍♀️❤️

Finding the balance
As a Quaker and an activist, this was powerful. I do feel called to action, but I see I cannot help by becoming engaged in codependency. If I offer my help from a calm centered place, I do what I can without becoming enmeshed. It’s not possible to be dispassionate. Serve with love and the ability to let go.

Being An Observer
The 7 minute version of this meditation is actually 20 minutes long. Irene has you start out by visualizing a place where you feel safe. I visualized myself walking in the forest where I am greeted by a large bird. This bird invites me to get on its back to take me up to the sky. As we are flying in the sky, looking down below are any problems we may be dealing with or have decided to carry another person’s burden. This meditation is a great reminder that we can listen to what other people maybe experiencing, acknowledge their troubles, and not interfere. This will give our mind peace.

This was frustrating because the 3 minute version has nothing to do with a flying meditation. It’s a good session but the title had me expecting something that wasn’t there and was thus distracting.
