What an AMAZING revelation I had from the Dignity lesson! Such a simple task like correcting my posture daily can make the difference between a successful day or.......not. I realized how much easier it was to breathe deeply. It helped immediately ease pain and discomfort in joints and muscles of my body. The overall result was so quick and simple! As I continued through the day, all the while correcting as I caught myself slumped again, it was if a transformation was taking place. I felt happier and was more productive. Something as simple as good posture had changed a part of me for the best! When we look into a mirror we get a self image. Our self image is VERY important because how we see and feel about ourselves creates our self esteem. Self esteem is how we portray ourselves to others.If we’re confident we’ll find success! When we are successful we are happy and our self worth becomes PRICELESS to us! Dignity,Posture = Happiness,Success! EASY! Thank you!

First, I learned it’s a journey to meditate with a males voice, but to to meditate on the floor or on the chair with with fur babies who actually meditate with is virtually impossible so I sit on the couch. Today, I laughed, because one of the fur babies didn’t want to meditate today and took off and continued to play and the other is with me as usual; calm, and loves it. Either way, we all do it once, twice maybe, three times a day depending on what the demands are. Let your body relax, where you want to sit, who you want to sit with and meditate. Enjoy your day. Smile Everyone!

I learned that sitting is not my favorite position for guided meditations. Took longer to really get into it but loved the thought/phrase “breathing along the spine” and then I became an inch taller and was just fine after that.

So often I allow my light to be a little dull, either because I don’t want people to actually see me or because I am afraid of what will happen if I fail with all those eyes on me. Even focusing on something simple like my posture can have tremendous impact. I want to learn to walk with my head held high, my shoulders back, my heart forward. I’ve struggled with good posture my entire life. I wanted to be as small and unobtrusive as possible. As a girl and young woman, it was incredibly difficult to deal with the attention K got from developing early and quickly. Thank goodness my “sweater puppies” weren’t heavy enough to permanently alter my spine, but walking around with my back straight and shoulders back felt like flaunting the goods. I’m also from the Bible Belt so all that with guilt heaped on me for distracting or “defrauding” the boys. Not I’m overweight and I don’t want people to stare at me. A lot of the time when I’m out I also need a wheelchair. Hunching my back and pulling my shoulder in is my way of saying: “pleasedon’tlookatme, pleasedon’tlookatme, pleasedon’tlookatme, pleasedon’tlookatme” But I deserve to sit, walk, exist with dignity. I have 3 decades of crazy adventures, selfless giving, and the love of some incredible people. I’m going to make an active effort to maintain better posture. I DESERVE DIGNITY!

I remember sitting upright to play the violin when I was a kid, I was never terrible good at it, but I looked the part, so I got to sit in the front row. I felt elegant and proud like a big cat stalking through its territory. The smallest movement was made significant by the stability and stillness in my posture.

Be straight with your spine
I noticed immediately that my spine was curved at the bottom, with my belly out. Not good. I realize that if I tell my spine to be straight, I automatically correct my posture. Then I will do this while working. Staying seated is not meant to be 100% comfortable - this way, I will want to stand up every now and then, which is actually recommended. Stay up with dignity, no matter what life throws at you. You are more important than anything else.
