As always, mindful use of the breath is a great tool to combat stress, anxiety & tension, giving us better quality sleep, calm composure during the day & something to anchor us when challenges arise. This simple breath technique helps to focus the mind on the counts of the breath while simultaneously creating a rhythmical pattern that the nervous system loves to relax to. It provides deep relaxation at any time of the day. Still, it is especially beneficial to practice before going to sleep as it helps to relax the body & bring the mind away from its jumping & wandering into a single point of concentration. Then, by setting an intention in the state of deep peace just before sleeping, the subconscious is highly receptive & responsive.
