Wandering
Excellent explanation of a wandering mind during practice and help with bringing one back to mindfulness

Wind down
This is a good way to leave unimportant thoughts behind and tuck them away momentarily or leave them behind. The reminders to focus on your breath in the moment and the weight of importance on the breath, over those fleeting thoughts that are always buzzing around and bogging you down after a chaotic day with a lot of encounters to process, is very helpful... A good grounding reflection.

Racing thoughts
It's okay that our minds wander. The mere fact of noticing racing thoughts shows we are in the moment. Great mediation for a loud mind.

Wandering thoughts
Wandering thoughts during a meditation are natural, they do not harm your meditation but allow for an opportunity to refocus.

I give myself permission
I realize that I often wonder, not about the past or future, but about things that are happening now, in a different space. I beat myself up for not moving fast enough to be there. Instead now, I get to be okay with what is. If I'm not there I don't need to carry it. I give myself permission to be content with what is and focus on where I am NOW. And when my mind goes there, I'll thank it and send it light but will no longer give it my power.

Feeling Normal
Usually I feel so different and separate from other people due to my tendency towards anxiety. But to audibly hear in the meditation that a constant wandering mind is normal and even if your mind wandered during the meditation, that it is okay and no reason to stop or start over, helped me feel more normal in regard to anxiety. And simply the fact of acknowledging your wandering thoughts when they do happen is a huge step towards mindfulness.

My Mind Is Wandering
I noticed my mind wandering during meditation and as suggested, I thought to myself "my mind is wandering." It worked! I will try to remember this mantra for the next time I notice myself wandering to bring me back to peace. Thank you for the great content!

Wandering Thoughts and the Present
I know I need to practice being more mindful each day but especially when my emotions are running high. They are doing so right now. I will continue practicing to bring my mind back to the present moment. With time, this will help me to stay focused on what’s important, and not continue to ruminate in the past or future.

That’s a relieving realization
Simply noticing that my mind is wandering is in fact “being mindful”. So often lately I feel like I’m trying try “too hard” to meditate.

Sometimes all it takes is silence.
I've been very distracted and frustrated lately and I think it's because I haven't taken the time to just close my eyes and breathe like I just did. Three minutes of simply focusing on my breathing cycle and I feel so much more relaxed.

I’m normal
I learned in today’s session that my wandering mind is not something to be worried about as it’s normal for this to happen. This is something I have heard and read of before but didn’t really seem to take notice of it until today’s session. This is important for me to remember because my wandering mind usually leads to my anxiety.

it’s perfectly normal to have wandering thoughts. i shouldn’t ridicule myself for having them but rather let them pass and not let them take me away from what i should be focusing on.

Dealing with Thoughts
At first, I thought the narrator was talking about a “wondering mind”, then I realized she was saying “wandering mind.” I love the just noticing and not judging whether your mind is wandering or wondering! Such a relief to not have to chastise yourself. Nice that the mere act of noticing means you’re being mindful. I’ve been noticing my thinking and planning mind every morning while showering and am delighted when I go back to feeling the water in my hair and on my back, the smell of the soap, etc.

Stay Aware
This is a nice exercise for helping you stay aware. I have noticed that I can go extended periods of time without really stopping to get into the now. When I do it’s almost as if I have awakened from sleep. This felt like a great exercise to help you stay aware. Thank you!

The if, the now
Focus on task at hand and if my mind drift, make mental note of where it drifted then proceed to the task at hand. Do not reprimand the brain/mind for doing what it's intended to do but acknowledge it and focus on the present.

Wondering is Acceptable
I am thankful for having the mindset of acceptance and of being an observer rather than letting my thoughts control my emotions and define me. If my mind wonders during meditation, I will gently accept and bring it back which will ultimately lead to more focused mindfulness. This was a great and relaxing meditation.

Dealing with thoughts
I first started meditating in late 2016. Its been about a year. I used to obsess over getting through a meditation without letting my mind wander. If it wandered too much id get frustrated and start over. Im to the point where I understand that a still mind is not the point. A wandering mind is okay. Its normal. I need to be able to acknowledge the wandering mind and return to my breath. Its getting more comfortable and easier with each meditation. I also notice a sense of calm about me that i didn’t always have. I think its due to my meditation practice. It doesn’t last forever, but it gets me through a lot. Im getting very good at noticing a shift in my mood when im no longer feeling so calm and i feel more in control.

Wandering
I️ get that my mind wanders and that’s ok. But what if it wanders negatively? Like if I️ wander and begin to beat myself up over something stupid I️ did or said. Or wander to my bodily traits. Should I️ stop that because it’s wandering?

Missed my morning session today
I guess you could say that it "slipped my mind" which made this session funny to me! In my mind, I literally called my wandering mind back to attention as I would admonish a wandering dog to return! Here boy! *whistle ** whistle*🤪

Wondering Mind
I’ve learned just in the past couple of weeks with meditation that my mind wonders a lot. Which is completely normal. But I am aware of it now and can refocus my mind on my breathing at any given moment. I don’t fight the thoughts, I simply let them go and recenter myself. Anxiety levels have been at an all time low, and life has been moving in a beautiful direction. Keep practicing my friend. You’ve got this!

Not all who wonder are lost...
I learned that wondering thoughts are quite normal. Made me ask myself what are the other things that I do and think are weird, crazy, or abnormal but are common. Really good to feel that connection with everyone. We’re all just people experiencing the same ordeals one way or the other.

Pensamientos sueltos

Thoughts
I’ve had a lot of negative thoughts running through my mind today. However, they’re just thoughts. And I️ have control over my thoughts. It was good to sit down and realize that I️ can just be aware that it’s merely a thought and to return to myself. Let go of the negative thoughts 🌹 or notice them and turn into positivity!

It’s normal...
I think it’s amazing to know that the practice of meditation doesn’t include an end goal of perfection; that it’s okay if you can’t follow the guide perfectly, that it’s okay if your mind wanders whilst practicing, that at the end of the day, what you wanna achieve is just to learn how to focus your attention to the simple idea of breathing—even just for a couple of minutes. Most people think that they cannot meditate “properly” because they.just.can’t. I think, they just won’t bother. But to each his own. So I’m very grateful that I’ve tried it way back even though I felt like a fool. 😂

Dealing with Thoughts
Some thoughts are quite helpful, such as affirmations of self-worth and empowerment. The purpose though of this meditation is to clear the mind of extraneous, distracting thoughts and is a reminder to remain in the here and now. Hence, I go with the flow of the breath and find peace. 🙏🏻
