This is the most helpful track I’ve listened to on Aura so far. To understand why all the physical symptoms occur helps ease my additional anxiety that often comes with experiencing those symptoms. And to make the connection between the breathing and the parasympathetic nervous system gives me more confidence that the breathing exercise will work. It’s not always easy to slow down my breathing when the grip of anxiety/panic is particularly tight, but when I am able to get to a comfortable breathing pattern, I can feel myself calming down.

Great tool for dealing with anxiety! We have a natural fight or flight response that is designed to keep us alive by either fighting our adversary or running away to live to fight another day. While it was very Beneficial when we lived with all the dangers in the wild, it is more Detrimental in our domesticated society where we rarely have to physically fight or actually run away.
This fight or flight response physically prepares our body to get ready to go to battle and when the battle never happens we are left in an over prepared (anxious) state. This meditation helps us to calm down to a healthier state by focusing on our breathe.
I have used this 4 part breathing before with great success. I especially like the moments of holding between inhales & exhales - that is where we can really experience the Calmness of the ‘Now’!

Meditation is always good to do because it helps you relax and stay calm and helps you feel at peace and I love to meditate and pray for peace may the lord bring you peace I’ve noticed that when I meditate I don’t feel as stressed anymore because I don’t like being stressed out during the night because a stressful day deserves a restful night and yes I love to be in my bed my room is my happy place I recently lost 2 horses so I am meditating and I feeling like it’s taking it’s toll one died having a colt the other died of an infection and I feel sad today I am grateful for this meditation
