Simple focus technique
Using the count helped me keep my focus on the breath and not wander away into my thoughts. It made the meditation one of ease, which is very appreciated when I am feeling anxious. I will take what I learned in this session with me today, and am grateful for the lesson. Thank you.

Counting helped okay today
If I find myself about to get stressed anxious or angry, just count. And it helps bring me back to earth.

Silence is a struggle
I learned in today’s session that my mind struggles with silence. As soon as the session went into minutes of silence I could not keep count of my breath as I continuously was getting lost in thought. I acknowledge that this was my monkey brain trying to stay active and helped me identify a goal. Making sitting in silence easy and calming instead of a struggle and a panic.

Anxiety
I learned that taking time to focus only on that peaceful place helped me to reduce my anxiety on what has been running through my thoughts, causing me panic attack and such, and now I feel like I have a new outlook on the matter.

Concentration
I love counting the breaths. I find that counting reveals the thoughts, and through practice I can more easily see the separate areas of worry/stress. I find that this makes them more manageable because I can identify them individually, which makes approaching them less overwhelming.

Counting Deep Breaths Helps
Counting my breaths helped me slow down my racing mind. I really had to focus given the fact that my young children were making loud noises which proved to be a great distraction. I could use another go; 3 min wasn’t enough. However, the slow deep breaths I took lessened my anxiety from the day’s work projects and that was positive!

Counting the breath
Counting did help keep me engaged but occasionally I’d count aimlessly while thinking of other things. I love breathing exercises, they are great to use when on a run. Focusing on my breath helps me push through difficult or unpleasant things (such as running).

Counting Your Breath
I loved this meditation! When we are stressed about an upcoming test, rushing to work, or staying up late doing paperwork or homework and not getting enough sleep (just to name a few), we keep ourselves from observing that we need to take time to regain ourselves before continuing. This meditation teaches us to settle our thoughts by counting our breath, which brings us back to the present moment and releases stress and anger. If we just take time to count our breath, something that may be easy or may take more concentration, it helps us gain a calm and peaceful mood, which therefore helps to get things done— whether it be grading papers after a long day of teaching, or writing an important email to a colleague— in a content way that helps maximize our time spent on these activities. Sometimes, a bit of concentration and awareness can make a huge difference in what you do! 👩🏼‍🎓🧘🏼‍♀️📝⛅️

I’ve come to realise life is all about obstacles in our journeys to our desires or destinations. We just have to learn to adapt move around and through them. I am an A level Science and Economics student who has realised life doesn’t treat you nicely if you choose rewarding subjects for a professional career. Especially having three facilitating subjects wasn’t going to be easy in the slightest. Trust me, I believe that now after dropping a year due to personal problems and returning back to stressful education patterns. This year I plan not on making repetitive mistakes and keep a healthy sleep routine and eat healthier. In turn, will feel good and ready to have a productive day. I’ve bought an expensive book to start a bullet journal and bring back some creativity in my life - some paints and brushes too. As an individual I’ve learned I loved art as I use to brush away all my worries and anxieties with smooth strokes. So, I intend on bringing that back in my life god-willing. A💭

When we meditate we fell more relaxed and less stressed then we did before. It helps us to calm down in hard situations that we can’t handle.. That’s exactly what happened to me.. I love meditating and I recommend everyone should too!!

I can cycle counts up to 9 and back. I felt the rise and fall of my abdomen more so because I was sitting. The noises of my phone and computer distracted me.

Counting the breath
Counting each inhale as 1 & each exhale as 1, up to 9, then back down again. If you lose count, start again at 1. I like this exercise and the voice behind it.

Far too much on my mind
I was easily pulled out of this audio program several times by the rapid-fire thoughts concerning the busy day I have ahead...lost count of my breaths far too easily!

I felt myself pulled away - Challenging session
I felt myself being pulled away by intrusive thoughts. While I’ve recognized this is part of my disorder, this was not easy for me to complete. I drifted off a lot and found it hard to control my thoughts. I’m not sure if this is a me problem or a mismatch of difficulty. It made me feel like it was not easy to meditate, and that trying to do so was futile.

It was very calming and a big stress relief. I got lost in my thoughts and focused on breathing. Sometimes I forget to breathe so that was nice to just focus on inhaling and exhaling.

Wonderful tool for a wandering mind
Nice technique for helping the mind to stop worrying. I found myself still thinking about the things that were bothering me, but it was helpful to concentrate more on counting and keeping the worrying thoughts in the background.

Counting the breath
I learned that counting the breath is a great way of calming yourself back down and putting yourself back in that moment. I also found that counting my breath made me laugh when the person doing the meditation said when you get up to 9, you can start counting backwards. Apparently my lung capacity is six, it doesn't do nine... yet!

July 16- Night
I was feeling a bit anxious and my mind was focused on many friendships and conflicts. This helped me put these conflicts in a jar and pocket them in the form of a deep breath in and out, releasing all issues out of my mind. The simplicity of counting and breathing was so relaxing.

Counting
I got into a good rhythm of counting and breathing. This is helpful to “distract” my mind from thoughts before bed and drift away. I don’t like going backward though.
