Find the inward calm and strength, no matter what is going on right now. We use a classical and effective yogic breathing technique to hone our focus and calm the mind.

Coming home to my breath
Returning to my breath left me feeling like I would imagine home should feel like. Often in my life I have not felt safety in the geographical temporal locations I called home, but returning to my breath felt safe, and comforting.

It’s physically impossible to breathe in one nostril and out the other...but I could envision it happening, which made for an interesting focus throughout this lesson😳 Very busy day for me today...happy to take a few moments of time for Aura...and I suppose, for my aura too?🤗🤣

I learned that by truly focusing on my inner self I can finally relax for what feels like in a super long time. This meditation helped me get out of a day of anxiety as well as depression, and is saved for other days like it. I enjoy being relaxed and calm, and I am happy to go to sleep in this mood. Woke up anxious. To an extent, I still am anxious. I’m nervous about my final later today. But this is what I know now: I’ve prepared the best I could. Going into the exam feeling calm and peaceful will only help me perform better. No matter how long today feels, it will end.

Today was really rough. I was constantly upset for no apparent reason. I meditated one in the afternoon to help me to calm down and much to my surprise it helped to balance my mood for the rest of the evening. Tonight was more of a before bed ritual as meditation seems to help me sleep better. I can't believe the positive effects of nightly meditation.

The importance of focus
I learned that directing focus to my inner landscape is vital to attaining the ability to move away from worry and pain in ways that help me be creative again. It’s not a cure but it is a way of redirecting energy, I think.

Regaining calm by looking within...
I woke up this morning. Work stressors on my mind. A house that needs to be cleaned. Food that needs to be cooked. Basically, all of my normal weekend to do’s. Feeling uncentered and all over the place with my thoughts. This mediation gave me three minutes to just focus on me. What a gift!

While this is not related to the mediation but I feel that this helps too. With a calm inward focus we are able to deal with negative emotions that tend to isolate us and push us into the dark hole. Taking a few dose of this regularly will calm our minds and help us. #suicideisnottheanswer 🙏

I simply could not get into this meditation. For some inexplicable reason, the word “nostrils” is yucky to me. Oh, well, I’ve loved so many, I guess it’s okay to get one now and then that just doesn’t work. Glad others liked it!

It was good, but I didn't like it as much as the other ones I have done. It seemed to be more about thoughts in your mind than breathing slow deep breaths.

It’s been a few weeks since I’ve mediated.. this wasn’t one of my favorites! I did struggle with it a little. Definitely stayed focus through it but just was a little rusty since it’s been awhile since I’ve meditated. Definitely helped me though and I’m grateful for this mediation session!

I’ve meditated a lot through life but I haven’t recently which is very sad, I notice how important it is to improve breathing, emotionally and brain function wise... my mind is more clear it feels lighter (as weird as that may sound) it is a really healthy thing to do daily and I’m going to get back into it

I found focusing on my breathing and trying to breathe through one nostril and out through the other to be an amusing way to start my day. I’m on some medication that impacts my sinuses, so I’m usually slightly focused on them. I appreciated the time to shift the thought process slightly towards something that can be more positive. During the breathing time Lauren asked of us, I was softly giggling as I was focusing on that. What a lovely start to my day!
