Sometimes it can feel like we're going through life pushing a boulder uphill that's three times the size of us! There are so many things all at once and we're so overwhelmed. This session isn't about fixing it all, because we'll never really stop pushing the boulder. But it will teach you how to become so much more resilient and stronger so that the uphill game of life is less burdensome. We use a breathing technique to create stamina and calm strength. I enjoyed this breathing exercise and the visual she created for me. It always helps to know I'm not alone in my uphill climb. Sometimes I need to be reminded that there are brief breaks that help me get through.

Breathing
Listening to my breathing was interesting. I can feel myself forcing the breathing and struggling, instead of calmly letting the breathes enter and leave my body. This improved towards the end, and there is a lot of room for improvement.

Wow...this was tough! I’m not sure how this breathing technique is to help build resilience...maybe it builds endurance. The suggestion that life can be like pushing a bolder up hill is spot on and endurance is necessary.

Building Resilience
I’ve always had this dire need to finish everything as soon as possible, in hopes that I’d maybe get to relax once it was done. But the thing is, I was only putting this great amount of pressure on myself and little by little, my health was deteriorating. So, along with building resilience, I would like to say to things slow. And always, ALWAYS, remember to listen to your body. 💕

Exertion & Relaxation
The breath is a wonderful reminder of the yin and yang of life; the times we need to exert effort and the times we can just enjoy the moment. The taking in, the letting out, and the “Being-ness” in between.

Breathe
Sometimes it is necessary to focus only on my breath. It reminds me that I am human. I need that reminder that I am one single human. I need to take care of my mind, body, and soul so that I can be resilient through life, and because this is the only body, mind, and soul that I have.

Resilience
As I woke up this morning I was tired not just mentally but physically. After completing my day 2 aura is made me feel good really good it understood that I do too much sometimes and when I take on the job and role of trying to fix everything I get hurt. What I need to remember is breathe and take only what I can handle during those times it will not fix everything but it will fix the most important thing which is me.

Much needed today
With the beginning of the new year starting, I really needed this pause in my day to help center myself and calm down. I’m already stressed about work and all I have to accomplish but then realized that I had meditated. This was very timely for me and helped calm me for the most part. My mind is no longer jumping from one thought to the next.

Building resilience on challenges.
Building resilience, although I'm not a professional, is something I've had to become friends with. I had to face some health issues that have postponed my 'normal life' and not that I'm asking for sympathy, but to point out that the greatest resilience, the greatest lessons, patience and acceptance, comes from the greatest of challenges. All you have to do is to be open to all challenges and experiences. Have a lovely day everyone. :)

Fuel of breath
I learned that, by a specific way of breathing, breath turns into fuel for body and soul. I’ll use this manner to push myself when I’m at the point of giving up. By breathing with pauses I can manage to go a little further than I thought I was capable of. Truely a mindful moment.

A choice
This session helped me see the choice that we always have each day, if we want to keep on "pushing the boulder" or to pause to gain "fortitude". No matter what we do, life goes on and so do problems, but if we choose to give time for ourselves, we might even push the boulder more than before when we get back at life.
K
Kim
This was my first attempt at meditation so when I came out feeling refreshed I was definitely happy!

Perfect
This helped me a lot. It was the right speed, allowing me to take a few moments to take the right breaths, and not rush. It really helped me think of all the stress as a simple problem, that everyone has to cope with. Saying that it is like a boulder and you push it, it really helped me look at it in a different way. So I recommend this to anyone who is feeling a lot of stress right now and is under pressure.

P

What boulders?
Mine, of course! I don’t have too many, but one or two is plenty. Sometimes when I try to push, I think “what a waste of time”. But then, I walk around that boulder and rest on the other side of it. I relax my shoulders, take some deep cleansing breaths and then walk back and start to push again. That gives me the strength to continue. As long as it doesn’t start to roll backwards, I figure I’m doing OK. 🙏💙

Resilience
This morning, I am letting go of things I do not wish to carry: self-doubt, negative self-talk, and everything else that does not nourish me. I promise to pause multiple times today, to deepen my breath and remind myself that I am capable of reducing my burden and making it up the hill. Even when my feelings become overwhelming, I know I am capable of coping and that this too shall pass.

Lauren had me nailed for pushing that proverbial boułder uphill ał the time!! Then she tricked me by not helping me releasing other it. But I still love her anyway!! Burdens
I learned that there is really no way to lighten up each of our “boulders” or to level the uphill we are all climbing. The only thing to do is to be stronger each day and be better persons no matter how heavy our boulders are. This way, we can also learn how to emphatize that each of us carry our own boulders and that no amount of burden is much heavier than the other.

My Favorite Meditation!
This is one of my favorite meditations! I listen to this one especially during the afternoons at work when I feel overwhelmed, but need to keep pushing through. I appreciate the metaphor of the boulder, and acknowledging that this little break will not solve anything, but stopping to breathe will help to get me grounded, so that I can then continue again and push the “boulder” forward. Thank you

The best one
Resilience is the tool to pack 1st in the tool bag of grief. No matter what one is grieving from, it is resilience that one leans into most throughout the life of grieving. One grieves loss of ability to work, a pet, friendship, family members, an acquaintance, a job, good looks, the color of our hair or having hair.... it is each of these that we grieve individually strongly like a fresh cut in the beginning and then more tenderly- like a bruise, later in life. But we must grieve them all or they remain like fresh wounds each time someone or something reminds us of them...

Breathing
I learned how to better control my breathing and visualize clearly when under anxiety/stress/panic. I was able to clearly visualize my breath, and for this exercise I imagined a train. The rod attached to the wheel was my breath. The rod pushes the wheel forward, and keeps the train in motion at the same speed. Not shaky and not stopping for anyone. Constant. Resilient.

Overcoming...
One thing I have learned thru Life is that hard work pays off in the end. Like pushing that boulder uphill, you cannot afford to quit, lest it rolls back down & you must start all over again. It is ok to stop if you must and take a rest, but never give up & quit. Besides it might just roll overtop you on it’s way down! We cannot get stronger without working out, we cannot overcome without an obstacle, so no use in complaining when life gets hard. Working from an Attitude of Gratitude, be thankful for the opportunity, dug in, get started & never quit. In the end, when you are on top of that hill, enjoying the magnificent view, smelling the sweetness of the air & feeling the thrill of accomplishment, you will know it was worth it!! ❤️⛰🍀

Pause
I learned that letting our breath flow with slight pause is like life; when we do something, we should always take a moment to be present in the moment, and when we are finished, we should take a chance to reflect on how we feel. This breathing helped still my thoughts and feel calm before plunging into the day, and throughout the day I will breath and see how I flow.
