Take a moment out of your busy day to breathe and cultivate kindness. Kindness is so important to help melt away daily stressors and yet it can often be overlooked. Take 3 or 7 minutes out and bathe in kindness. Please note: If you are struggling with your mental health it's really important to seek professional help. This morning I woke up with anxiety and have carried it with me throughout my day. This causes me to have bodily pains internally and externally as well as not feeling emotionally stable. This meditation allowed for me to be in touch with the phrases and words that take away my anxiety and speak truth into my day. This is a session that I will not forget 💗

Its one of those days where the tiny grains of annoyance have collected into a weight of sadness. So thankful that i have found the practice of meditation and mindfulness. A year ago, these thoughts would left me asleep for days. My optimism is challenged the same but now it only bends but doesn’t break. Stay the course anyone who is hurting. Notice but don’t attach to negative thoughts. Life is good. It is always good, it faithfully waits for me to come back.

I have off work today so I decided to get productive and go into Manhattan for a lovely walk. I did take a few GABA supplements to help my anxiety but I'm now by the west side waters edge in Chelsea.. feeling the Sun, smelling the ocean waters and feeling free.

I noticed how often my thoughts include judgement. It’s so automatic to rate each thought as good or bad or pleasant or unsettling, etc. I look forward to learning to simply have a thought. Now, I find myself wondering how difficult that will be for me! Challenging, right?

I felt my anxiety throughout my body this morning and since falling asleep last night. Tensions in my belly, left shoulder, left lower back... This meditation helped me scanning down my body and diffuse a certain serenity through it.

The picture of the Heart in the sand set the scene and pace for me. The tranquil waves in the background put me on the sunny beach as I felt the heat from the sun’s rays warm & relax my body... She had me thinking “I want to be Happy” ...on my in breathe and “in all I do” on the out breathe. A phrase that did make me smile a bit. And hopefully I can carry it with me throughout the day as I stay calm! Thanks again Aura & tribe for being there! ❤️☮️🍀

Day Nine pt.2
I learned that I can be kind with myself. Sometimes it can be hard for me not to critique myself. I am always tempted to tell myself I am so stupid, or dumb, or not good enough, not pretty enough, I don’t have as many opportunities as others. I learned that I can also tell myself kind words. I can tell myself that I can do this. I can tell myself that I. Am. Bough. Say it with me, I am enough. I can do anything. I can get an A in this chemistry class. I am pretty, I am intelligent, I am smart enough to get an A in chemistry class. It can be hard as a college student who has never had to study or take notes in her life. I must learn to study and take notes. I must teach myself this in order to get better grades. I can be kind to myself. I must be kinder to my grandma, fore she is more delicate than I; I must‘nt hurt her. I must be here for her, as she is always and will always be by my side.

I learned that throughout our day and or at the end of our day it is so important and beneficial to breath and just calm the mind and focus on positive self talk with ourselves. We are what we think so a positive mind with lead to a positive life. We need to be kind with ourselves first in order to be kind to others. I am very hard on myself and I’m working on being better about my inner talk with myself and being more positive, practicing what I preach. This was a great reminder for me and I really enjoyed this mediation 🙏🏼

This meditation incorporates one of my favorite affirmations: “May I be well, may I live with ease, may I be happy.” I heeded Walter’s suggestion from a bit ago and changed the affirmation to: “I am well, I am living with ease, I am happy.” It worked well and felt right. Thank you, Walter! 💫🙏💫
