Come home to your old friend, the breath. As you tune in to the cycle of your breathing, like waves on the ocean rising and falling, feel your mind quieten as you center your awareness.

Friday
I really enjoyed the speaker’s voice and cadence. I am so distracted and wound up it was difficult to focus. I tried to focus on my breath but the tv was flashing even with my eyes closed and it was irritating. Gotta make sure the room around me is ready when I’m ready.

Commonality
It hit me, while I was doing this meditation, that breathing is one thing every single person has in common. I realized, in that moment, that every single person is breathing whether they realize it or not. That was a powerful moment for me.

This app works a little so far. I learned that I breathe hard but I think it’s ok. I think i means I have strong lungs. This app is pretty cool to me.

Train
First time meditating during my morning commute. Not ideal but was still able to release. I was aware of the noises around me, but they weren’t distracting, and for me that’s progress.

Joyful skill of awareness
I learnt that mindfulness is a skill that requires practice. I crave my daily session like I use to crave chocolate! Nothing tastes as good as mindfulness feels! The more I want it the more I practice the better I feel ! Yah thank you Aura ! 184 days and loving it! 🌺

Bathtime Breathing
Having a rough few days so I decided to come home & have a lavender bath. Listening to Aura and coming back to my breath at the same time brought me down from feeling overwhelmed & sad.

Waves
Nice visualization. Breathing in and out is very much like waves coming in and going out. They have a natural rhythm that is soothing to the mind.

Breathing
When I Breath deeply it is like a wave washing over me. I feel relaxed and rejuvenated, refreshed and recharged. I close my eyes and picture myself on a warm sandy beach with the water gently washing over me and removing my anxiety. What a lovely way to start my day. Thank you Aura

Breathing
The breathing exercises are good for before bed because it forces me to get a steady rhythm. I think when I am over thinking I often forget to breathe steadily and makes it harder to get to sleep. I also need one for when my mind is racing at night but breathing exercise was good for that too. Needs to be longer.

We Are One
“We are all part of an ocean of awareness.” Giving myself the gift of feeling connected to others, even when alone, can be done by meditating on the ocean and imagining my breath as the waves.

I noticed I was more tense than I realized when I started the meditation.
I learned that I need to have a conversation with D in order to relieve my anxiety.

I still feel tense - I had a bad day of anxiety yesterday so 3 minutes was probably not enough
I learned that I need to express myself more because when I keep it to myself It affects me in ways I didn’t realize. During the meditation I noticed how tense my face and other muscles all over my body were.

Just breathe
I had to take a minute to get ahold of myself and my emotions. I feel so deeply about things and sometimes, a lot of the time, my emotions take over. But today, it felt good to take a moment and calm myself by breathing and showing myself these problems aren’t that big

Self awareness
I learned that for me, just being aware that no matter what happens by body just keeps breathing gave me a sense of freedom, one less thing on my chest to worry about. Being aware of my body and it’s movements makes me feel more secure within myself.

The imagery of breathing in waves is soothing to me, and the idea of not control the breathe but just observing it helped me better visual breathe as a wave on the ocean.

Stress/Anxiety
Breathing was helpful in calming me down. I just can’t seem to shake this impending doom/anxiety/stress I feel daily.... it’s a crutch.

Laying down
I did this laying down (I normally sit for meditation), and i felt quite different. Since my body was completely supported, I could focus on my breathing. There was a different quality to the inhalation/exhalation. Easier, smoother and more full. Not having to concern myself with posture, I found it very relaxing. Loved the long pauses! Thank you, Kristy. 🙏🌺

Meditation Reflection April 3
Something that I need to work on is completely tuning out the outside world when meditating. Often when I’m stressed or thinking about upcoming events, I struggle to let go of these thoughts and truly turn inwards.

I was just being
I could picture the waves out in ocean from kayaking watching the little mountain peaks of water ride up and just as easily fall out and become valleys of constant and endless water cycles just like our breathing throughout our entire life. I thought this was a very cool comparison and I appreciated the simpleness of it.

Breathing in Waves
What a beautiful way to start my day. It was so freeing to just allow the waves to take over. That is how I need to go about my day.

Waves 🌊
Focusing on my breath without changing anything, I become aware of the rise and fall of my stomach with each inhale and exhale. This sensation feels like waves of an ocean. As I continue to focus on my breathing, I am visualizing sitting at the beach watching the tide roll in and out. I am feeling peaceful.
L
Lolo
I noticed that with every exhale weight was lifted off my chest.
I learned that taking a few minutes throughout your day to just breathe and collect your thoughts is a big deal.

Distracted Frequently
I learned that my breaths are naturally shallow and quick and that I tend to breathe into my diaphragm instead of into my chest. I had difficulty following the wave imagery. Also, I was distracted frequently because the only objectives were to notice the breath and to consider breathing as waves of the mindfulness ocean (I am aware that distractions are a natural part of meditation and are not “bad”).

Waving...
I felt myself settle into a nice rhythm of breathing early on. I saw my self walking toward a beach, smelling the salty sea air as I got close...Mmm... Love that smell, because it means I am close to the beach again! I stopped to take off my shoes so I could feel the cool morning sand between my toes. Ahhh... love that feeling when your first step buries your foot in the sand. It means your at the beach again! Walking toward the water, refocusing on my breathing, my whole chest expands easily and fully with my inhales and I feel myself pulling the ocean waves toward me. As I fully exhale and slightly squeeze my belly to my back, to get rid of all my used up air, I imagine myself blowing the waves back out to sea. Then she mentions about being up on the waves and I am now floating on the waves like a boat. Each breathe brings more awareness of my intimate connection with the infinite ocean of consciousness. Effortlessly rising & falling in sync to my waves of breathing, I become One with it all... ❤️🌊🍀

I’m feeling distracted...
I’m noticing that this particular meditation didn’t bring up some sort of feeling for me, but maybe that was the point. Perhaps I was only SUPPOSED to breathe and let go of everything else for this moment in time and just be. If that’s the case, then this session feels successful.
