By deliberately breathing more deeply and slowly, we can calm our nervous systems and our minds.

Nothing seems to recharge me
Feeling regretful that a three day weekend didn’t recharge me as I’d hoped. Still recovering from an injury so it was easier to stay inside. Now I’m wondering where all of the time went, why I didn’t go sit outside with a book, spend more time meditating, etc. I did help to care for pets of some neighbors. I’m an extrovert, who probably needs to be around people to recharge, but that didn’t happen for various reasons, and I didn’t really feel like it. Back to work I go.

Easing Tension
Sitting on my couch with my back leaning up against a pillow, I begin to focus on my breath scanning my body for any areas of tension. My shoulders and upper back are feeling tight and heavy like I am carrying around a huge weight. Becoming aware of what I am feeling in this area, I send loving kindness to this area by focusing my out breath to release any tension in this area. As I slowly exhale, I feel my body leaning into the soft cushion as waves of relaxation start to take over my body dissolving the tension I was feeling in my shoulders and upper back. I am left with feelings of ease throughout my whole being. Thank you Jiva for creating this wonderful session to reconnect with myself. Namaste!🙏

Deep breathing
Focusing on the breath is such an effective way to brimg myslef into a meditative state. My body responded quickly and I found myself deep in the moment and able to continue my meditation several minutes beyond the seven minute recording. I feel refreshed, calm, and peaceful.

PRESSURE
AS I STARTED I FELT MAJOR PRESSURE SLOW BREATHING ISNT ABOUT SLOWING DOWN AND BREATHING DEEP AND LETTING OUT AIR ITS ABOUT TAKING THE TIME TO CALM YOURSELF REALLY CARE ABOUT AREAS IN YOUR BODY WHEN BREATHING IN AND OUT. ITS ABOUT PULLING YOURSELF TOGETHER AND BREATHING AWAY DISRUPTIONS, STRESS, OVERTHINKING, AND DOUBT. SO NO PRESSURE JUST RELEASE THE PRESSURE BY BREATHING.

Deepening...
I enjoy deep breathing and do it quite often. In fact it is only when I become aware that I am feeling anxious, nervous or tired, that I realize I am breathing shallow. One of the best ways to go to sleep at night or wake up in the morning is to breathe several deep breathes. The long & slow ones at night bring calmness & are very soothing & relaxing. Usually I loose count by 3 or 4... zzz! The long but faster ones in the morning provide a quick burst of oxygen to the brain to help me wake up quicker. After 3 or 4, I am wide awake & ready to go! Why not try deepening your breathing & see how it can work for you?! Good Luck! ❤️👃🏼🍀

Breath is a lovely way to set up for the day.
I learned I’m easily distracted but can use the breath to bring my attention back.
