Sensing...
When we sense our breath, we anchor ourselves to the present moment. In this meditation, Cassandra has us take our flashlight of attention and shine it on our breath. Settling in my chair, I closed my eyes and sensed the space around me. Allowing my breath to be just as it was, I sensed my breath and the physical sensations associated with my body breathing. Focusing my flashlight of attention specifically on my belly, I sensed the expansion with each inhale and the collapse with each exhale. It is in these present moments of just being with my breath that I sense freedom. I sense gratitude. I sense calm and I sense presence. Our mind can and will wander as we focus on our breath. The key to strengthening our focus is to take notice when our mind wanders, without judgement and bring our attention back to our breath. Over time, it will become easier to settle the mind and sense our breath. And, it is in this sensing of our breath where we will experience calm. Namaste ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿปโค๏ธโ˜ฎ๏ธ
