Sacral Chakra
Redirecting our attention from our thoughts or the world ‘out there’ to a place in our body gives us a chance to take a time out, or a mini vacation from our brain, if you will. In this second installment of this three part series, Cassandra has us focus in a certain part of our body, the mid point between our belly button and our lower back, where our sacral chakra is located. Without trying to change anything, I became aware of my many thoughts. After a time of noticing my thoughts, I redirected my awareness to my breath in my belly and felt the simple rising and falling occurring. Then I turned my awareness inward and focused on my sacral chakra, or the mid point between my belly button and my lower back. Because the sacral chakra is associated with the element of water and change, I began visualizing myself being in an ocean, going with the gentle flow of the waves. As I began to flow with the waves, I realized that I must accept change and go with the flow of life. Acceptance of this natural fluidity of life will allow me to reside in the present moment, where I can ‘just be’ and relax. Thank you for this brain break, Cassandra! Namaste 🙏🏻❤️☮️
