Our breath is truly our anchor. A simple technique like Box Breath (equal even breaths 4-4-4-4) can be beneficial for reducing anxiety, relaxing the nervous system & activating the parasympathetic response, calming the mind down, delivering a restorative sleep, as well as serving as an energizer, clarity bringer & focus sharpener through the day. This Box Breath practice uses slower counts, combined with a visualization of the square of the breath being a container of light that surrounds the body to keep you safe & calm as you restore the body with the breath. Feel free to take your own counts: It is important to feel comfortable through this practice. Inhale - Pause (suspend the breath without force) - Exhale - Pause (suspend). Enjoy.
