This body scan trains awareness and opens the capacity for feeling more subtly. It trains the ability to hone in and feel more concentrated areas and then widen to allow your awareness to include a broader span. It can have the side effect of relieving pain and anxiety.

Body awareness
I learned that I'm self conscious of being too thin. My body just feels very skeleton like. My legs for sure used to be much more muscled. This goes back to around my turning 62. When I was working the Tanger outlet walking around five six hours in cold and my hips would kill me when I got home to the Bay Shore house. Never really found anything wrong though on web it seems might be thyroid related. Not much can do about right now so let go let God.

Guys, this is super unrelated to the mindfulness exercise but I just want to say that I found out today that my mom sold my SSN to some sleeze a few years ago just as I was getting out of college. I feel dead inside.

I usually ignore my body's signals until I can't anymore, but it's sending signals and sensations all the time.

Stinging
I start this meditation and pretty much straight away I get stinging all over my back. I’m laying in bed and have to get my husband to scratch my back most of the way through and when the meditation finished my stinging back stops. Weird ... yes. Weird in the scheme of me .., not really.

It’s amazing to realize just how sensitive our bodies are. A lot of these sensations are ignored in everyday life. Moving from limb to limb and later to the whole body, I could feel the blood flowing down to my legs and back up to my chest. It felt like a wave. Similar to the tides of an ocean.
