Meditation truly puts my mind in a different state and sets the tone for the day. This meditation made me aware of the gratitude I have for my body, blessed to have health and modern medicine, and knowledge of and motivation for healthy habits, like stretching, eating well, exercising and sweating.
She says that the lower back holds a lot of emotion. Growing up with scoliosis and having had a spinal fusion in my lumbar area almost ten years ago, this has always been a trouble spot for me. With this knowledge, I will try to be attentive to the emotion and needs my body is trying to convey, rather than dismiss with annoyance of the pain of the ache I so frequently (chronically) experience.
