Unlike our minds, our bodies are always in the present moment. This meditation will take you out of your headspace and into the physical sensations of your body, anchoring you in the present. Photo by Yujia Tang on Unsplash www.christina-mcmahon.com
For some reason the thought that, though the mind can wander, the body is always in the present moment really resonated with me today - as if I realized it for the first time. Pretty cool.
Awareness is harder than it sounds
Today I had a hard time staying focused. The mind is so easily distracted, but the reminder that we can come back to center by closing our eyes and focusing on something so simple, yet so vital as the heartbeat is very grounding.
I learned that no matter what your feeling a couple minutes of deep breathing will always help you feel better.
Body awareness is so refreshing
First meditation in the morning before I go anywhere is to thank my body listen to the heart beat, the temperature awareness what a magical centering.
I leaned that
I could be a lot calmer than I was just doing.
I learned more about self awareness and how to just be present.
I learned that it isn't easy to stay present but I will put my best foot forward to be better, feel better and live better
I’ve learned that I can sit in quiet my mind for a few minutes and pay attention to what’s going on inside of me instead of always on the outside world. My goal is to meditate at least a little bit each day.
After this, I learned to thank god for the amazing body I have. Also to stay in the present, not the past or future.
We take for granted this wonderful organism of ours that lets us be in this plane of existence. Thank you body your gift is inspiring.
