Backbone
Hello, back pain. Welcome. I wanted to get to know you better. To acknowledge the pain for what it is; meeting it with calm curiosity, gives you more control. Researching each cell of your back; looking at it from under a microscope. A meticulous scientist gathering data for better understanding. Not for judgment.
Curiosity didn’t kill this cat; it gave it room to breathe. To be. And by allowing it to exist without scrutiny or judgment, it vanished. Not to say it won’t come back, but it will be welcomed with the same kind, calm curiosity. For I know how our back inhabits our spinal cord. Our core is our backbone. So, of course, it is tired. It carries the weight of the world. Our worries & concerns. May it rest in order to carry the burdens of the days ahead.
